That is interesting....always thought of Hayward as a small forward.

Glad he is back and able to play. Hate to see any player have a serious injury.

With so many players who can play multiple positions, teams are now exploring into the 'position-less' type of game. And I've read random reports saying Kuzma and Tatum could be centers. :D

Same here. Injuries are a big downer to the excitement of the games.

Not to worry....Pre-Season.

I thought the Clippers beat the Sacramento Kings in a pre-season game yesterday.

Turns out it was the Sydney Kings. :)

I would have thought it was the Sac Kings too. :D Dallas beat the Ducks the other day. No Ducks team in the NBA, and it was the Beijing Ducks. a 53-point blowout.

I read a quote a few days ago where LeBron said the Lakers could play positionless

They certainly are quite capable of doing that, Steve. I saw glimpse of the highlights of LA's first PS game and they were passing like crazy, and shooting very quickly, even Rondo did. :D I think if Luke gets to coach his way 100%, they will have a very good season.

For real? They named a pro team the Peking Ducks?

Neat.

That's why they were eaten alive.

I'm waiting for the emergence of the Guangzhou Goose. Famous for their roasting dishes.

Too funny, Phil.

Last time I had goose was in Germany. It was as close as we could get to a turkey on Thanksgiving Day there. It was delicious.

We tried to roast a goose many years ago. Must take a special talent as ours was not very good, way too greasy. Never tried it at home again.

Goose needs to be hung while roasted to let the fat out. Our western ovens don't allow that :( A big green egg however.....hmmmm. There's an idea!

Was in Hong Kong with my son last weekend and his favorite dish there is roasted goose and duck. While strolling in the mile-long mall called Ocean Terminal we spotted a roasting place and immediately my son said he felt hungry and we had to stop there. For me the most delicious part is the skin - a cause of high cholesterol. :D But what the heck, dipped in luscious plum sauce, you get a glimpse of heaven. :D

Oily, fatty, greasy, and NOT cholesterol-free. Shinny and delicious. :)

Below, on the lower left side, is a row of 'necks' of the goose, with heads and beaks. This is one scene that I know Steve would cringe on and maybe run out of the roasting resto. :D

Ok, so much for the Beijing Ducks and goose. Back to the pre-season. The Celtics got roasted by the Cavs. Love was very sharp.

First glimpse of the Melo, Harden, CP3 troika. Not bad really. They all did their usual things, and Melo as usual was grinning and even apologizing to the bench for not taking a 3 but a 2. :D

The duck and goose looked delicious.....until you presented the goose neck and heads.

I'd be right behind Steve running out the door. :)

Clippers are playing the Timberwolves tonight in LA, preseason game.

Jimmy Butler is hasn't played even one second in the game. Not certain but I don't think he is even with the team. No trade yet either.

EDIT - I need a lineup card for the Clippers - so many new players in the past year even I don't recognize them all

Another 'attitude problem' player. Demanding to be traded and sitting out practice and pre season when he's under contract to play for the whole 2018-2019 season. And his case is another team looking to 'rent' him for 1 year. There were talks in the C's blogs to get him. I don't think Ainge will do it and I hope he doesn't.

I looked at the Clippers lineup against the Wolves last night. I know only the names of Tobias Harris and Gallinari. :D Good luck with the rebuild, Doc. The logo is behind you anyway. :)

Basketball is about putting the ball onto the basket. And 'how' to do it has really gone a long, long way from the day Dr. Naismith invented the game. With Curry shooting like this, it just tells me they guy knows where the hoop is and where he is and HOW to get the ball into the basket no matter where he is on the court. Pretty scary. And he shoots and makes baskets no matter who guards him even with hands on his face. With this kind of weapon, the Warriors are indeed poised for another run.

LeBron was looking at the basket so that shot was no big deal! ;)

Both of those guys are incredible.

Could it be that you are starting to come around on LeBron as a Laker, Steve?

I still haven't.

I have an open mind as long as he let's Luke Coach. He has already said that the Lakers can play positionless
