What tonearm(s) are people using with their Koetsu cartridges?

I have a coralstone diamond and urushi vermillion on a Glanz 124. Wonderful. when I went back to a turntable some years ago, I had the vermillion on an sme IV and then a V. Neither got the best out of the koetsu. the Glanz brought the vermillion to life and the the coralstone to end game for me...

    Tidal Intra Stereo Amp

Very nice! i have a Contros also and it’s transformed my listening. I don’t really listen to my turntable anymore!! I listened to lots of expensive DAC’s and streamers, and in the end it was easy to settle on the Contros. Regarding cables, Tidal make their own, which create a complete...

    Joe’s Vitus Reference System

Marten and Vitus are a super match…. Coltrane are my favorite, but too big for my room, never mind the $$…..

    Joe’s Vitus Reference System

Great write-up. I’ve used Vitus - SIA 25 integrated amp, SP101 phonostage, SCD/2 cd player and more recently the MPd201 Mk3 DAC. I enjoyed greatly these devises with various loud speakers. depending on the synergy with the speakers I found the sound a little dark….. but I really enjoyed them...

    Single box CD player

I’d recommend the VITUS a SCD-mk2. great transport and DAC with a great sound

    Tidal Intra Stereo Amp

Just a quick update. In the end I added a single Rel #31 sub woofer to my system. Quite an amazing improvement - more body, greater depth to the sound, more texture and harmonic in the base, better sound stage, and somehow a more relaxed and believable sound…. Very happy, but it’s a rather...

    Marten Mingus Quintet 2 speakers

I interesting that you compare Tidal and Marten as being essentially the same.. That’s not my experience. Both are very very good, I have tidal piano g2 and found them superior to equivalent martens even at a higher price. I recently compared Contriva to Coltrane Tenor and the Contriva was...

    Shelf or individual component....?

It’s a good topic. I have use for years two Quadraspire svt with different combinations of Stillpoints, Finite Elemente, Ansuz, HRS couplers plus isolating platforms from Project, HRS and vertez aq. Im generally happy with the Quadraspire - looks and performance seem ok, and I can hear the...

Phono cables - the most sensitive and critical cable in your system

I’m using a Stealth Helios on my Glanz / KeoCoralstone Diamond it was a significant upgrade over my Ansuz C2 and various Glanz / Japanese staples… Hard to compare phono cables, and whilst expensive, it was a big upgrade. hard to say it’s the best, but I’m happy with that.

    REL No. 32

Very interesting discussion. having never used a sub before, I’ve recently added a REL #31 to my Tidal based system. I was originally looking to add some body and a little weight to my Tidal G2’s that can be a little lean, in my 11ft by 20ft room. I borrowed first one than a pair or Carbon...

Got New DAC - MSB Premier

are you using the Melco as a server in both cases - i.e. also with your MSB?

    Tidal Intra Stereo Amp

Thanks Doug, I borrowed one and then two Carbon specials and they were really good in adding body and weight, but much more clarity and depth to the sound that makes it easier to listen and the music more intelligible and relaxed. I have order two which I hope to have delivered at the end of...

    The Lord of the Switch

I bought a Ansuz D2 switch, rather against my better judgement, but honestly it’s transformed my listening with music streamed from the internet (Qubuz) where with the normal computer switches, even daisy chained with LPS, I couldn’t listen beyond finding new music, which I I liked it I would...

Hi, I recently purchased two transparent wing diffusers from KJ West One in London. they were the only place I found in the uk.
