darTZeel NHB-108 Model 2 - The Best Stereo Amplifier In The World Just Got Way Better!

Ha ha, yes — I saw post #58, but I wasn’t 100% clear on which screw was shown. Too zoomed in :) The internal pic you just posted circles the screw where I got the lowest measurement, which is encouraging. Whether or not the screw choice makes a difference here is another thing entirely, of...

darTZeel NHB-108 Model 2 - The Best Stereo Amplifier In The World Just Got Way Better!

I'm sure your Burmester is fantastic. Would love to hear one one day. It might even tie in nicely to a possible shared love of Porsches :) (If the "best" you're referring to is the one in the thread title, I'll agree with you that hyperbole and absolutes aren't often helpful. But that thread...

darTZeel NHB-108 Model 2 - The Best Stereo Amplifier In The World Just Got Way Better!

Did you go one XLR per channel, then? Would love to see a pic :) Measured some screws on my 18NS power supply and got lower impedance on some of the screws next to the IEC, but if I remember correctly you (or perhaps someone else here) got the nod from darTZeel to use one of the ones along the...

darTZeel NHB-108 Model 2 - The Best Stereo Amplifier In The World Just Got Way Better!

This is really helpful Happy with the Altaira on the 18NS? Have you tied your Altaira to the Model Two as well? I’m not clear on whether it’s a sensible match there. Separate, floating channels and all that…

    Australian wall power outlets

Any specific Legrand outlets? They — and Clipsal — do an abysmal job of explaining their range…rough that they outsourced it to you :p

NHB-108 Model Two circuit topology (using Zeels)

That's my take too, Mike — fully differential circuits feel like the heavy-handed, component-laden antithesis to Hervé's circuit design ethic. Thank you for the help. I'm sure the darTZeel team have been busy of late with the distribution changes (RIP Jonathan, and thank you for the cables ??)...

Is that like a “yep, you’re right” @Hyperion? I like being right :)

NHB-108 Model Two circuit topology (using Zeels)

So, so happy with my NHB-18NS and Model Two into my Von Schweikerts. Great match. Adding REL subs and need to check the circuit topology of the Model Two — am I right in thinking the Model Two is dual mono and single-ended, rather than fully balanced/differential? Makes a difference to how I...

    transparent Gen 5

@Kingsrule Which Tellurium Qs did you end up with? I’m looking at a Vivaldi stack one day (soon, I hope) and the rest of my cables are all TQ. I’ll likely stay with them as I’ve been pretty happy so far. I’ll need to get the clock cables from someone else, I think (as far as I can tell TQ don’t...

Anyone here ever used the HPA-1 Headphone Amplifier?

Did you sort something out Audire? FWIW I love my HPA-1 — I run a pair of HD800S 'phones (balanced) into it and it sounds fantastic. It also does stellar duty as a preamp into an XA25. It'll be interesting to hear if I can improve on it with a Bartok that I have on the way.

RUNNING SPRINGS MAXIM power distribution box..

Another thread resurrection :) Caesar, do you mean that the Running Springs units (only the amplifier-optimized ones?) are still a good way to go for amplification, or that NO power optimization equipment is good for amplification? I have a PS Audio unit for now but am exploring options.
