    American Sound, "The Absolute Nothing"

I think, according to the designers, the concept is that it has no sound :D

"Long-Term Equipment Loans: A Win-Win for Everyone" by Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound

I am glad that you like your Wilsons! Some might argue that modern technologies like diamond tweeters are a big advancement, yet some people don't like the sound of them and prefer older soft dome technology. Likewise a lot of people prefer the sound of paper cones for mid and bass due to their...

"Long-Term Equipment Loans: A Win-Win for Everyone" by Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound

But is it just about clarity? I think of good audio being a bit like food - there are many great recipies that can be equally satisfying, and having too much of a favourite ingredient can upset the balance. Great audio is getting the balance right to get clarity along with tone, timber, timing...

Line Source Dipole Versus Point Source Cone: Which Soundstage Presentation is More Realistic?

I always find the presentation of point sources to be more realistic - images are smaller and closer to what I believe to be real. Apart from Quad 63s with their delay mechanism, I have always found panels to make images larger than life.

    Field Coils for Audio Systems

Never mind field coils, how many manufacturers are even using Alnico? Wilson even made it a major marketing point as if that were a new invention!

I am enjoying Ron's videos, particularly the interviews. I have never gotten a sense of anything underhanded in what Ron is doing. Sure there have been mistakes, but I also get a sense of Ron's genuine love for the hobby. To me, the sound of nearly all videos of music being played in rooms...

    Does Everything Make a Difference?

I have always found that my system always sounds best when there is no one else in the room. Other people always say my system sounds shit, but when they are not there it sound great.

    Does Everything Make a Difference?

This is interesting! I have in the past found that having certain objects in the room has been detrimental to the sound. I have never tried taking all the CDs out of the room. It is difficult because I have few options to store them elsewhere. On the topic of static, the carpet in my listening...
