Is the 3A/110A a good alternative to PX4/25??

As title really. Considering trying a set in my dac on the 4v heater setting.

Tube vs. Solid State Rectifier for Lampizator DAC

My DHT tube dac (2.5/4/5v heaters) uses solid state rectification via vicor DC to DC power modules. The designer states this is a superior way to implement a directly heated output stage in a dac Vs tube rectification. I have no idea if that's true as I'm not an electrician engineer but that's...

Master Fidelity NADAC DAC and Clock

https://spiritofturtle.com/products/master-fidelity-nadac-c-ultra-low-noise-master-clock-contact-us-before-purchase No that price is just for the clock I've just realised .Nice that they actually quote the unit's phase noise Typical Phase Noise 114 dBc @ 1 Hz; That's a crazy amount of money...

Bravo Magnepan. 20.X series still one of the pinnacle loudspeakers ?

Not had a chance to listen to my 20.1 running active via Atma-shere MA-1 OTL for a few weeks due to time away etc. No crossovers and no transformers. These still blow my socks off. Dynamics, bass, transparency, holographic soundstage, perfect piano reproduction and obviously a midrange like...

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Ouch I have the KR 45 preamp, although I use 46 globes with adapters not the KR 45 which isn't very good. Personally I think it's a wonderful preamp although I'd like a Thomas Mayer 10Y one day.

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

I love this post. I've been feeling exactly the same way but didn't want to offend anyone. I too have direct experience of high quality DHT amps Vs pentode amps and there is really no contest, if you have high resolution speakers. DHT every time. Same for preamps in my experience, a 45 or 46...

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Have you ever tried 46 globes? I use them with adapters and prefer them to my EML 45 mesh globes.

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Congratulations on the purchase, looks fantastic I will be taking my Acuhorn/dac down to my local Lampi dealer so that I can compare it to the Poseidon. I still can't get my head around how a pentode output stage sounds better than a DHT stage. I had a wonderful KT88 amplifier for a time, and...

No idea but I suggest you join the Rose forum and the tech team will help you. Still delighted with my RS130.

Not an expert on DSD but doesn't Lampizator do what you suggest?

    DAC comparison and recommendation request

I've owned the Mk2 of this and whilst initially it really impressed, eventually it became apparent that the sound had a tiny smidge of artificality to it. Not glare, it just didn't sound that 2% more natural than my Acuhorn R2R T with EML 45 mesh globes. I sold the AGD and still have the...
