    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Hello Stef, unfortunately the courier used for the shipping didn’t consider local bank holiday. Long story short no amp. I’ll travel extensively next weeks and I hope to get it by the end of the month. The seller insisted on shipping on pallet and I’m in the hands of a unorganised forwarder...

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Thank you! I'm selling the Vitus and the MSB discrete on audio markt and in Europe I'm the only one selling, not to mention here in Paris. Let's see. I'm waiting to clean up my gear to get an Innuos Zenith and a Moon LP810 to complete the chain.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

I bought the TAD M1000 and I hope to receive it by the end of next week. Curiously enough, I’ve listed my Vitus for sale several weeks ago and got no requests.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Thank you very much for the useful insights. I have a Music First Audio passive preamp and the manufacturer believes there will be no compatibility issues with TAD amp.

    TAD M1000 vs M2500 thoughts?

Thanks @Pokey77. I’ll go with the M1000 most likely. And later add a C2000. For now I have a passive preamp from Music First Audio which is fantastic.

My dealer who sells Albedo is called Greg! Not sure is the same person. From G Point in the UK.

Upgrading from Vitus RI-101 mkII with TAD speakers

Makes sense. I’m most likely replacing the Vitus with the TAD M1000 to hopefully have synergy with my TAD ME1 speakers.

Upgrading from Vitus RI-101 mkII with TAD speakers

Hi @Bretson , I didn't know the MPD8, gosh. Yesterday I have added the passive preamp from Music First Audio in the chain and everything has changed. The MSB became too detalied and dynamic, too fatiguing on most music genres. In comparison, the Merason brought a new level of clarity and...

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

It’s clear, thanks. I just wonder if we can say TAD amplification is better with TAD speakers than Vitus, at same product line level. Perhaps hard to objectively assess as it’s in the eye of the beholder.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Thanks. my Vitus has 300W per channel in 8 ohms. So I'm not lacking drive. I've read too about the M1000 being leaner than the M2500.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Thank you @olivier. I just want to be sure the TAD Amp sounds rich and full enough. And not too clean and bright.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

Thank you @Amir The Vitus I own has definitely enough power with my TAD ME1. The only reason I’m hesitating moving to TAD amplification is that I may find it less engaging than Vitus. I know only listening to it in my home will give me the answer.

    Amplification options with TAD speakers

I’m sure about the tone difference and unfortunately I won’t be able to audition that. How would you describe the tone difference between TAD and Vitus?
