Recently I tried to integrate a pair of JL audio F113 to my Focal Stella . Using REW with JL audio crossover , I was able to tackle the 40 hz roll off from the main speaker . Room treatment to tackle the roll off is tough. I have plenty of room treatments in my dedicated room

Certainly 1 of the better tonearms out there . In fact , Dietrich was kind enough to change my tonearms twice after it developed some minor issues many years after the warranty was over
put the AFO & Astellar side by side , u can differentiate the finishing clearly. Maybe I didn’t like the silver matte finishing too much . Rattling top plate of the power supply / pump. Anyway, it’s a matter of taste
Everythg is the same except for the TT & the owner is playing ard with silver DIY cables.
one thg for sure it has a v quiet background , maybe quieter than my AFO
Bear in mind the room has an open back all the way to his kitchen / dining area .. easily 40/50 ft. He has to cranked up his vol to 0 at 72db. On my MPP.. I will listen to my set up at -13/15db / 67-70db & it sounded much louder
Not too familiar with the syst . Just describing what I heard . Bass wise Coltrane 3 is superb . All Vitus - MPL/MPP/ MPS , Palladian catridge on Axiom. All silver DIY cables. I would expect it to be a lot more dynamic
Workmanship could have been better . Top plate of air pump / power supply is flimsy. Massive turntable . The bottom 2 chassis air floated. Top 2 chassis magnetically floated .
Soundwise v quiet & buttery smooth to my ears . v polite sounding which could be attributed to various factors in this...

my friend used to drive it with Gryphon mephisto. Sold it- class A too hot & too massive for his living hall. Now he is driving it with trinity pre & trinity mono which he loved
Don’t know. Heard abt it . Coincidentally both seems to fail around the same time . Maybe they played too loud . I like the 1 driven by Gryphon amp.
Not that the Vitus amp is bad . If u see the room & how it’s connected to a switcher for convenience connection to multiple pre & TT , u will...
The last thing any Vitus owners would describe Vitus amp as dark sounding . Far from it .
There is another pair of Kodo in Msia , driven beautifully with Mephisto Mono. I thk probably upgraded to the latest Gryphon amp by now
Once heard a high end system with expensive Goldmund Transport , DAC, Speakers , Pre , power - All top Goldmund stuff . When owner switched on his HT, I was shocked to see Oppo logo . Shocking is an understatement
