YG Acoustics to debut Reference 3 Series at Munich High End 2023

The new crossovers are really something, never saw anything like it. At Munich they had the Hailey 3 crossover (if I remembder it right) on display. I took pictures of it, here they are

YG Acoustics to debut Reference 3 Series at Munich High End 2023

My YG dealer talked directly with YG - there's no change with the mid-woofer and woofer cones for the 3.2, these are the same like in the 2.2. And the crossover upgrade is a change of the complete crossover. The only thing I don't know is if YG upgraded the damping material between the layers of...

YG Acoustics to debut Reference 3 Series at Munich High End 2023

As always YG offers to upgrade the Sonjas 2.2 and 2.2i to the current version 3. The upgrade comes in 3 stages - only the tweeter, tweeter plus crossover or the the complete upgrade with tweeter, crossover and new face plate. Does anybody aready know the costs for the upgrades? Additionally...

    QSA LANEDRI Series

@romaz - thanks for your considerations. My system consists of a SACD-transport connected with a proprietary connection to DAC, preamp, two stereo power amps, speakers at the moment. The speakers are passive biamped, so I'm using 2 pairs of speaker cables. That makes it more expensive regarding...

    QSA LANEDRI Series

Besides of LAN and Ultimate cables, what do you think which of the Gamma cables would have the most impact in a system? I'm quite curious about the QSA-Lanedri cables, but my budget is very tight. With the introductory prices I could go with 1 Gamma Infinity speaker or XLR cable (or maybe 2...

    Endgame monoblock amp choice

If your budget allows it I‘d recommend EMM Labs MTRX2 mono amps for endgame. They are stable to at least 2 Ohms, they have more than enough power to drive whatever speaker and they are not getting hot. Ok, if you push them, they get quite warm but not hot.

CH Precision D1.5 Transport : Extension of a new horizon

Does anybody already had the chance to make a direct comparison between D1 and D1.5 as transports? It's quite obvious that the D1.5 as a complete player is surely better than the old D1. But if you use it just as a transport it's probably more subtle. Would it be worth to get a new D1.5 instead...

AC Preamps: Impera II & Impera Signature

I'm quite curious if the Impera would be still better than a L1 (plus X1) in a CH Precision chain (and without looking at the prices). I've already read the exciting Impera review from hifi-advice.com (who uses himself a C1 and a A1.5 in his reference system), but I'm still wondering. Still I'm...

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Thanks CKKeung for your recommendation and the links to your reviews. I already read both threads before but surely missed the part about your findings that a L10 stereo still betters a 4 box L1 mono. From other reviews about the L10 it seems that the L10 do things completely different than the...

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Thanks for your thoughts, Gian. So it's rather without any doubt here that the C1 works better with a L1 at the front.

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

And this special offer is about "only" 3 boxes, it's just one X1 with two regulator boards. But you're right, rack space and especially a lot more good power cords aren't cheap either.

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

The main reason for going with L1 stereo or L1 mono instead of a L10 is that the mentioned L1 is about 3-4 years old and accordingly cheaper. And the L10 is out of reach, the second hand L1 mono plus X1 is still much money but in reach for me.

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Many thanks for sharing your own experiences with the L1, it seems I really should go the route with the L1. The big question still is how much difference is between L1 stereo and L1 mono? Is the price difference really worth the extra effort?

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Many thanks for your suggestions, sounds very promising for the L1. And regarding the M10, I also heard from different sources that it's apparently better than even the M1.1 monos.

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Thanks for your thoughts. After reading other threads here I wasn't really sure about it. And what got me thinking are the reviews at hifi-advice.com. The reviews there are usually very detailed and insightful. The reviewer himself has a C1 and a A1.5 (and also a P1) in his system...

Preamp Decision – L1 Stereo, L1 Mono or C1 Mono alone

Hi All, after years with several EMM Labs Dacs (Dac2, Dac2x, DV2) and several Audio Research preamps (SP9 MK3, LS26, Ref 3, Ref 6) I came across a used C1 Mono plus X1 double, which I’m already using for around 1,5 years. The Ref 6 was sold with the purchase of the DV2 and since then I had no...

Denafrips product owners please fall in

CH Precision L10 & M10 : My votes for the Best SS amps (for the past 5 yrs till 6-2021)

Hi Ralph, many thanks for your explanation. I'll try it with the black grounding connector, at the moment I don't have a grounding cable with RCA or BNC connectors.

CH Precision L10 & M10 : My votes for the Best SS amps (for the past 5 yrs till 6-2021)

Hi Ralph, thanks for the info regarding the grounding jumper. May I ask what are the recommended connections with an external ground box like the Active Ground Block from Synergistic? Should I connect only the L1/L10 where the switch is engaged / jumper in black/yellow? Or should be every CH...

    Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Hi Blackmorec, many thanks for your detailed considerations. You're right, both the Daiza platforms and the Symposium rack and platforms share the same background with isolating from floor borne vibration and draining the component's vibration. And I'm aware that a Daiza upon an Ultra platform...

    Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Please, can anybody tell me if the Daiza platforms are compatible with a Symposium Isis rack with its Ultra shelfs and Rollerblock modules in the pillars? Thanks Michael

    Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Hello all, I'm new to this thread and after reading through it I have to admit I'm definitely interested in the Daiza platforms. Similar as Spiritofmusic's system I'm using a complete Symposium setup for my devices - that means an ISIS rack with Ultra shelfs and Rollerblock Modules in the...

YG Acoustics announces Dual Coherent 2 - Available to Sonja 2 series owners

I have to admit I'm quite happy with my Sonja 2.2 without the "i", but still interested how much better the "i" version will be. In Europe the upgrade costs from 2.2. to 2.2i are 8000 Euros (nearly 10000 US$), not really pocket change. The improvements should be significant if I decide to do the...

A new drive mechanism for the CH Precision D1 SACD player!!!

You're right, it's better to have a working D1 in the future. It seems that the D&M (Denon & Marantz) SACD drive is probably the only one available for OEM. From what I found out also Accuphase and McIntosh are usind the D&M drive. Also PS-Audio's new SACD transport is using the D&M drive. On...

A new drive mechanism for the CH Precision D1 SACD player!!!

That's not really convincing, doesn't really speak for the Marantz drive. It's a good question how to proceed with a D1 - buy one now with the still current Esoteric drive or wait for the new Marantz version and hope that CH is capable of developing a top drive from the original one.

A new drive mechanism for the CH Precision D1 SACD player!!!

I'm aware of it, but unfortunately that's not possible with the current Esoteric VMK-5 in the D1, because it's not available anymore. Maybe with the new drive CH develops.

    L10/M10 ready in june

There's a a promo with the Synergistic Orange fuses until the end of January (take 3, pay for 2). Does anybody know if the High Power T10A fuses in the M10 are the smaller 5x20mm or the bigger 6,3x32mm versions?

A new drive mechanism for the CH Precision D1 SACD player!!!

Thanks for the insider info, CK. It's understandable that CH doesn't develop a completely new transport from scratch, that's not their domain. And developing a new transport surely needs a lot of resources. It seems that the SACD-M3 drive from Marantz is their top transport, it's installed in...

    L10/M10 ready in june

There are some nice L10/M10 pictures from a korean store, who already got them in their showroom, even with a little bit of unboxing: https://avplaza.co.kr/hardwarereview/20201218174911/ I'm just wondering that such precious and heavy amps just come in cardboard and not in wooden boxes. If...

    L10/M10 ready in june

But it would be something if the C10 comes like the L10 in two boxes with an included power supply and then betters the 5 box C1 Mono (with two X1), which is around over 90g.
