Someone sitting directly behind the seat where the measurements were taken can hear at least 80% or possibly more. It isn't suffering. Left or right of the original position, not so much.
I believe you should talk to Edgar before you finalize this purchase. I do not believe a Mac is a Mac in regards to this software. I bought the BACCH-SP adio first, and the BACCH4MAC setup second. (I wanted to be familiar with it) I bought the BACCH4MAC Audiophile+ version which came with the...
Edgar doesn't believe special Roon Servers / Streamers make a difference with BACCH. He has made me a believer. If you are running a Taiko congrats! I wonder how much of a difference it will make over say, a simple $10K streamer. It won't hurt.
I currently have my older adio in for an upgrade at the factory. When I heard that the room correction software was going to be released on the Bacch4Mac platform first, and knowing my adio would be away for a while I bought an Audiophile Plus version of Bacch4Mac. My introduction to BACCH was...
In my opinion yes! XTC takes care of the timing information, ORC takes care of the frequency information. Together they offer quite a jump in the quality of the music listening experience. It is not subtle.
ORC is the Room Correction, XTC is the crosstalk correction. It is currently available on Bacch4Mac and will be available around June for the adio. I don't know the definitive answer to you second question but if I had to guess I'd say no, no, no.
My system is mostly Gryphon electronics and Stealth Audio cables. Both brands seem transparent, no color added. It seems nice.
But what if regular listening to such a system could result in drain bamage?
Shucks.
I upgraded from a Pandora / Antileon EVO combination to the Commander / Apex Stereo. I was fairly certain the Pandora Antileon EVO combination was endgame quality. I have been proven wrong yet again. I don't have a lot of fear Gryphon will make something above the Commander and Apex any time...
It is still one of my all time favorite purchases. The DAC portion is an obvious step up from my much loved Kalliope DAC. And the CD Transport is just simply stunning. No one would believe how much better silver discs sound with the Ethos. On first listen it is immediately obvious. I am very...
If I had to buy a new Degritter every three years I would not shed a tear. I really appreciate mine coming from the Auto Desk Glass Pro.
I gave it away, bah.
My Audio Guru says oh no oh no to the Eminent EX. "You have the correct cartridge from MSL". I have only heard the Platinum Sig. Others praise the Eminent EX. It is Stereophiles' Herb Reicherts' favorite cartridge that he judges all others against. My personal opinion is MSL only makes excellent...
It is so very easy to listen to! I have never thought it was something I could switch away from. Second arm, second cartridge some day. Maybe. It's a keeper!!!
I have been listening to my full hardware version for a couple of weeks now with a variety of music. It has never once sounded wrong or strange to me. I am unlikely to get a chance to hear the software only version. I am curious though.
Quite often while listening I switch out of the Bacch...
Yes sir! You have it exactly right. I am using the DAC inside it. It seems quite wonderful. I compared it to the DAC in the Ethos, and to my borrowed Ideon Audio Absolute DAC. It stands up well to both. My version of the BACCH-SP does not have AES/EBU inputs so I stream from the Grimm MU1 to the...
Issues here. It installed easily enough. It doesn't work very well. Long breaks between tracks, many starting 7 seconds or more into the song. Bah. Reboot didn't help. New mouse cable perhaps? I am sad.
I am told by many that the first listen to Dragons is always unimpressive. The legend goes that they need a couple hundred hours of use to show their full potential. Hmmmm.
I'll keep you posted on the results of the power cord change. After a 200,000 hours break in period, of course. ;)
The Commander and the Apex came with Gryphons best power cables in the crates. I was pleased. I am not certain the name of the cables but I believe they have silver or silver coated wire. I never used the Gryphon cables that came with the Commander as the Stealth power cable I used with my...
