I may make the trip. Had La Scalas [high wife acceptance factor] long time ago driven by a Moth 2A3. Glorious sound. Been through a ton of 45, px25 and 300b. Went through the high powered sets and I’m frankly not satisfied. I like the feeling of being able to walk into the music. I am looking...

REVIEW: Lucas Domansky Music Server (LDMS) Minimax

Just updated to Mini Max. Truly an end of search component. Lucas spent hours at my home for a demo and he did not leave with the server.[ I wouldn’t let him].

    Matching Palladian to sme3012r

Thanks not sure what to purchase here. Was inclined to buy the cart to see what it sounded like. Might wait until I’m in Edinburgh to flesh out something for my system. Heard Dynavector but not liking. I have 30 plus years tubes and tube gear but I’ve never looked closely at perfecting vinyl...

    Where to sell vacuum tubes

Good. They are the real deal. Just a thought. If they have gold pins they could be ECC803S. If so, these tubes are worth a ton of money.

    Where to sell vacuum tubes

Hi Loki I am located in Toronto, Canada Maybe you should be talking to member dminches. He made the offer Of testing. Unfortunately I do not have a tester anymore, but keep me in mind for a couple of your TFK. These tubes have a glass diamond embossed in the bottom of the tube between the pins...

    Matching Palladian to sme3012r

I have an Acoustical Systems Palladian cartridge with compliance of 16-18 nm/n and was wondering if it is a good fit for my system. My tonearm is an SME3012r special. The KABUSA.COM site shows this cartridge is a good fit. My preamp is a Shindo Vosne Romanee and I was also wondering if the...

Thanks for the advice. I have always used tubes to change the flavour of my tube gear. I rarely sell any tubes I could use in my equipment. My preamp is different because it is meant to sound a particular way by Ken Shindo even down to the power cord. I was lucky to get a VR built by Shindo...

I am a fan of the GG as well. It came with the standard KR5U4G and 242KR tubes. I have WE422A and 274B To try also. Although I haven’t been a fan of the 274B I’ll try it. I’m also going to install a quad of TFK RS241/242 and WE101D from Psvane. We can tube roll when you visit. I am going to part...

No, they would need to be a dimension way above any wife acceptance factor lol. Just a mid bass box in a bigger box with horns on top. If the low end is crisp sounding I can get the depth from the horn. The sound is like a 45 good amp with Klipsch La Scalas but with textured bass.

Hi LL21 Gary builds Altec primarily but other speakers too. I approached him with my ideas and we came up with 18” bass drivers, 10” bass midrange drivers and 4” mid and high range Altec 1505 horns. The horns were built by Markus Klug in Germany. The speakers stand about 52” high by 30“ wide...

Thank you for allowing me into this forum. I bought my first of many tube amps in 1990 And have been collecting and selling equipment and nos tubes since then. I am currently building a new system for my move to Scotland in 2022. So far I have acquired a pair of Wavac 805 monoblocs, Vosne...
