Will there be a service for the inevitable need to change terminations on a DC Cable? A common issue with DC Cables due to component changes. I can imagine big issues with the QSA/L treatment process.
Following up on my QSA-L GI XLR cable experience per the exchange back around post #558.
My XLR use is between the preamp and power amp. Hols experience was spot on. In my case the XLRs become the third QSA signal cable in sequence (DAC cable into preamp, network cable to DAC, XLR to amp)...
For all fuse recommendations, can the size and specs of the fuses successfully proven to work in the Statement LPS please be confirmed. Greatly appreciated!
That is interesting as my experience was the opposite. Same load (fiber modem) and Elite was also 6A. Just assumed it was the larger case. Perhaps @James Soh will advise.
Thank you for that comparison. Someday I hope to experience the SJ DC4 ARC6.
My experience so far began with the Farad Super3, then after a long comparison window upgraded to the PLiXiR Elite. Recently I upgraded to the PLiXiR Statement (big setup in SQ over the Elite).
The Edison Creation...
Thank you @hols , for your excellent feedback. It's very thoughtful, detailed, and incredibly helpful. I completely understand your point about the placement restrictions with the various cables and components. Currently, my primary concern lies between my DAC and amps, and any future upgrading...
Yes comparisons are fun, sometimes rewarding, and other times not what was expected.
Please compare your Sean Jacobs XLR, a standard Belden Iconoclast XLR, and a QSA Lanedri treated Belden Iconoclast XLR and let us all know what you find. Both Belden cables of course should be the same (1x4 vs...
I believe that 'upstream' use makes sense. However the Linn components I have use an ethernet cable between the Pre-amp and the DAC. Linn refers to their system as Exakt. The DAC is called an Exaktbox. Currently I have a GI QSA/L ethernet cable between my Pre-amp and Exaktbox. When I...
Does anyone have QSA Lanedri GI XLR cable experience they would share in more detail, or point me to a post #, I’m just not locating any review in this tread. I see foundational technical information in Post #336 which is great, but someone’s ‘in system’ feedback would be appreciated. The...
My initial foray into the realm of QSA Lanedri was greatly influenced by the valuable insights shared on this forum, particularly from CKKeung and hols ( (I extend my gratitude to both). Post hols #338, in conjunction with the prior enhancements I had experienced through my LPS/DC cable...
DC power cable selection is a complex topic with numerous options influenced by specific pairing with the LPS (Linear Power Supply) and personal taste. It is further complicated by the break-in time, just like that of the LPS.
The Statement DC power cable is undoubtedly a good starting point...
To directly respond to your question, Elrod, I would first say that Jay’s assessment of the PLiXiR Elite LPS being neutral is fair. However, I’d encourage you to re-read the full review. Specifically - “the Elite BDC is a transparency monster. There is absolutely no veil, haziness, or bloom...
Thanks for the tip on the vibropod. Grainy is not an attribute I'd associate with the either the Elite or Statement BDC. Hopefully James will be able to sort out your BDC experience.
My Statement BDCs were ordered and put in service last month so I think they are current. Also I assume it...
Yes 3.15, I got the spec from James. If that's not the correct rating for a 6 amp BDC then we must have miss-communicated.
Now to be honest, James carefully selected the fuse he uses as part of his precise PureTone tuning.
I agree! With previous power supplies I had positive experiences with fuse upgrades. I tried a Synergistic Research Purple fuse in an Elite BDC and it blew immediately. My notes on the Elite BDC 12v/6a are for a 3.15a Slow Blow Fuse, 5x20mm. Did I bumble the fuse specs?
The SR Master fuse has...
Good question Max. That's a walnut block with some generic 3 bearing isolation devices under the block. No experiments yet with isolation variations yet with the Statement BDCs. Previous preference was to also have another set of the same isolation devices under the Elite BDC. The Statement...
My journey with PLiXiR to the Statement BDC.
Discovering PLiXiR: It was approximately two years ago when I stumbled upon the detailed review by Jay Luong, more commonly known within the audiophile community as Mr. AudioBacon. His meticulous analysis, evident in this comprehensive review of...
I replaced two PLiXiR Elite BDCs with two PLiXiR Statement BDCs. At first listening they showed great promise and demonstrated the improvements over the Elite. It was just after two weeks when it seemed to primarily settle, but it continued to refine after that. At the three and a half to...
FWIW - I tried a couple of DAC cables and preferred this 24AWG cable, that is available in shorter lengths too. Back on post

Another starter kit that costs little is pipe foam insulation. Without a friends loaner items to experiment with, pipe insulation is an easy way to begin experimenting.
The opposite. It is over zoomed, as if with very large font and all of the text in the lower left is not on screen and cannot be scrolled to. Same in multiple browsers.
