Grimm MU-1 server review - A new force in digital source?

Hi, so I think this has been answered, but YES, if I disconnect my Grimm AES from my DAC my other Roon Endpoint still sees Roon Core on my MU1.

Grimm MU-1 server review - A new force in digital source?

I understand. I think it will not be an issue as the Core functionality exists over the ethernet. But, easy enough for me to disconnect my AES out of the Grimm and see if my other endpoint functions as it should.... I will do this tonight.

    Neutral power amp recommendations?

Hi Vermaxis! Some great knowledge and advice here. I love my Audionet, and have a pair of MAX's and a pair of Heisenbergs. Neutral: check. Very revealing while being full bodied Cold or Analytical: Not if you are careful with great DAC and great cabling. All copper works very well...

    Dedicated Modem

Hello Frankie67, (this does not exactly respond to your question) This is what the Switch X does. Except it creates a new local network within your original network. It does not require a new internet service, and is no different than splitting it off just outside of your home (I think). It...

    Cable Modems

Chris, another extreme thumbs up on your Switch X and Wifi X. I should have just believed Bill at GTT, as he has never steered me wrong! But I had to hear it myself to believe the easily heard sonic benefits of the Clean Network. I have bought and demo'd many upgraded audio switches, but non...

Grimm MU1 vs Aurender N30SA vs Taiko Audio

Hello, I too changed to AES from USB out of my Grimm MU1 and it is better! I am very interested in the N30, waiting on its certification as a Roon endpoint. I want to run Roon Core on my Grimm MU1 in my second system, and then possibly use the N30 as streamer in my best system. I understand...

Grimm MU-1 server review - A new force in digital source?

Hello, I had also separated my wired music form my whole house wifi. thus the music was separate and 'clean' of all the house traffic. This includes phones, TV's, security, printers, computers, Alexis, Siri etc. But not so. Even if the wired music is separate from all the wifi or other...

Nice @Jedclampet ! Did you notice the black Tambaqui? Are you using the clean network and clean wifi for control With the Switch X (and Wifi X)?? I had them in to try...the set Bill used at CAF. I think I need to get it back! I also tried my M12 Gold switch between my router and the Switch...

    Kubala Sosna Realization cables

Well we know the same great dealer! I now have Grimm MU1, Tambaqui, Stern, Heisenbergs, Hailey 2's and Rel Carbon Limited.s All cables except my Elation AES are Realization. And I totally agree; I went from all Elation To Realization, albeit at the same time I went from Pre G2 and Max amps...

Network Acoustics - Tempus network switch

Hi, I can not answer those questions exactly, but have some anecdotal info. First, prior to the Muon Pro I had the Eno filter. It sounded good, but when running it into my Auralic G2 streamer, the Eno at 100MPS was a bottleneck. Rich said at NA that was why he developed the Muon, to have 1G...

Network Acoustics - Tempus network switch

I could not agree more. especially the seldom mentioned esthetics. The telegartner switches (M12) are particularly scifiesc. I locate all that stuff in my office. Verizon Modem > (Switch? ) > Switch > (2) cat 8 runs > Audio systems > Muon Pro Filters > Streamers I love the Muon Pro for its...

Network Acoustics - Tempus network switch

Interesting. I have fiber (Verizon) in my Garage, where the ONT converts the fiber to ethernet. Do you split the fiber or do you have two internet service accounts? Do you use remote (ipad etc) access of your music? Can you see your server / streamer (downstream of Phoenix Net) on your...

Clash of the titans - Seeking experience from you guys

Interesting in that you can control volume from your amps. I do have both Makua w onboard Tambaqui and stand alone Tambaqui w my Stern pre and reference system. I have tried the Makua in place of the tambaqui / Stern combo. It sounds amazing as well, maybe a bit warmer for the Makua, Obviously...

Hello Kingrex, In my system, my Tambaqui sounds much better through my preamp. I believe the Tambaqui has digital volume control and benefits from full or very near full volume output. I use the 6v output and -2db on output (not volume) control.

XACT S1. The music server you've been waiting for

Last NIght I ran a second ethernet line to my system so I could have both the Grimm MU1 and the XACT S1 servers connected at the same time. Grimm running Roon and The S1 running JPLAY. Since the S1 uses USB, and the Grimm likes AES, I had both connected to my Mola Mola Tambaqui and could A/B...
