In my experience treating cabling with the Nordost VIDAR conditioner has always made for a significant improvement in sound quality. Especially interesting is the difference it makes in tonearm wiring. My interconnects are all Nordost silver-coated. Nordost advises that initial duration of burn...
I have only praise for the Kleos. I've owned a Dorian and a Delos previously. Currently the Kleos is in a VPI Fatboy on my Classic 3, singing fabulously.
Might you know what the Joseph Grado Signature 3A Phono Cartridge sold for when new, and what it might fetch today? Any other info regarding this model would be appreciated.
Kevin Gray's All Tube Recording and Mastering Studio on Youtube
I found this video compelling. I trust you’ll enjoy it, too.
I first met Kevin Gray during a tour of RTI and Acoustech Mastering in Camarillo, the occasion being a convention of the Phonogram List in the LA area. Steve Hoffman was...
I have only had the May DAC in the system for a couple of days.
An Innuos Zen 3 is being used as the Roon core, supported on Stillpoints Ultra SS on the middle shelf of a Stillpoints ESS rack. Light Harmonic split USB cable from there to the DAC. Power cord to the May’s power supply is a...
I lived within 100 miles of Spokane north or south during my formative years.Visited relatives there often.
Sure, when I travel your direction I'll PM you to get an address. Could be as early as mid-July.
The music night at Mike's was wonderful, informative and special. When I had the good fortune to sit in the captain's chair the imaging experienced was holographic. I have had glimpses into the evolution of Mike's system and listening room courtesy of our local Pacific Northwest Audio Society...

Get some pure cotton diapers and plastic tongs to reach inside the reservoir of the Klaudio and swab out the particulate.
Microfiber dish cloths should work well, too.

The book and CDs are available for preorder from Music Direct as well, but with free shipping.
Congratulations on the new family member, Larry. Oh, and on the book, too.

Midwest Sign & Screen Printing Supply Company can get you a gallon of Sign Strip for $49.96. I had my gallon sent to the Seattle warehouse to avoid shipping charges.

Protectapeel or Sign Strip
I mean to try PPG Protectapeel or Sign Strip to deep clean records that haven't been improved by treatment in the Audiodesksysteme RCM or the Disc Doctor process. Would someone here know of a source for a quart or a gallon of Protectapeel or Sign Strip?
I've found that brushing the record vigorously with cleaning fluid and following that with Ultrasonic cleaning is most effective. I use Duane's Disc Doctor Miracle Record Cleaner solution and brushes.
Yesterday I played the Decca Phase Four "Quo Vadis" after a cleaning in the Klaudio for four...
I bought the Klaudio RCM. It experienced a motor failure before the first record was dry. I contacted the seller and arranged to return it to Klaudio as they are nearby. Tim exchanged the unit for a new one tout suite. The replacement unit didn’t appear to wet the record, but an examination with...

Like new, very little use. I ran one fill of solution through it to test it thoroughly.

Thanks for the report, fork. Real gems there taking pride of place in collections. However, I am astounded that there are no recordings of music created before the Twentieth Century among the honorees. A perusal of nearly any list of best LPs on the web will show many recordings of the classics...
Spent some time yesterday listening to a used Lyra Titan and a Titan i with about 200 hours of use. These were installed in nearly identical Artemiz turntables & arms, but the phono preamps were different. The sound was comparable, neither cart surpassing the sound of the other. Spent most of...
@ Myles, I did receive an interesting response from Jonathan. After reading it and thinking about it I may buy the Kleos. You are probably right about the use of the Titan i on the more massive arm. It's interesting that Lyra advises prospective purchasers to use a tonearm with rigid bearings or...
This is a helpful thread. I was considering a Titan i that had been offered to me, and had emailed Jonathan Carr to ask if he would advise me to buy the lightly used Titan i or a new Kleos for the same money - no reply. We'll hear the Titan i through my Herron VTPH-2 on Sunday, and if all is...
