    Jeff Rowland Corus and PSU

My friend selling the Rowland 925s is going to move on from his beloved Corus preamplifier, which is powered by the incredible PSU (Power Storage Unit). The PSU can also power the Aeris DAC and Conductor phono stage, so your system can take advantage of this incredible power device. These two...

Need help with Jeff Rowland 201 monoblocks triggers

Here is the answer I got: If the jack is shorted, which means 0 volts, then the amp is in standby. If it is open or has 12 volts it will be on. So yes, the standby state would be 0 volts or shorted. The jack is normally high, or 12 volts. So, since most pre-pros supply 12V on turn-on, you could...

Need help with Jeff Rowland 201 monoblocks triggers

I believe the normal home theater processor triggers supply 12V to turn on associated amps. And i think Jeff did this trigger differently. I think it takes a short to turn it on. If you have a spare 2 conductor 1/8” mini plug, you can check by shorting the 2 conductors. I had to deal with this...

Jeff Rowland Design Group M725s2 mono amps. Beautiful!

Up for sale is a fine pair of the incredible Jeff Rowland Design Group Mono amplifiers, the M725 Series 2. They are in fine shape, and sound absolutely fantastic. I am not sure if any of the rags gave these a review, but the original 725 was very highly regarded, and the s2 has a level of...

    Spectral SDR-3000

Thanks. I checked the repair notes. The unit went in for a sticking drawer back in 2014. Not sure why the box says “SL”, but the faceplate just says SDL3000. Happy nonetheless. Do you know what the difference is?

    Spectral SDR-3000

Is there a definitive way to know if a SDR-3000 is a “SL” version? I have a SDR-3000 (on the front fascia), but the box has the SL sticker (and this unit was sent to the factory a Year or so ago, but I don’t have the paperwork to know what was done). The unit is magnificent, but I would like to...

The new Jeff Rowland 535 amp

Well, the 625s2 is a GREAT amplifier. Probably the best stereo A/AB amp Jeff has every made. I keep wondering if there will be a s3 upgrade, with the Cardas wire Transformers. Maybe if all the owners of 625s and 725s start bugging Jeff...

The new Jeff Rowland 535 amp

It is difficult to get past the Moniker of “Class D” and the preconceived notions, as there is an assumed sound that permeates the audio society, much like the sound of:”CDs”, “tube”, “S.E.T”, “ High feedback”. All you really need to hear is one great example, and that is proof that the method...

The new Jeff Rowland 535 amp

I have had the opportunity to listen to a new 535 amp really break-in. It sounds very good out of the box, but a month of playing makes this amp sing! It is nice to have the same width as the other Rowland products, but it is the sound that really impresses. The snap and delicacy of cymbals and...

When will the new power supply for Corus deliver?

Sorry for being late to this party, but I have now heard 4 systems where the ONLY difference was the addition of the PSU. 2 were on the Aeris only, one Corus only and one Aeris/Corus. I am astounded at the transformation of the systems. The excitement of the owners is off the charts, and...

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

There are a lot of amplifier manufacturers out there. I can give you a partial list of amps that have left very fine systems in favor of Jeff Rowland amps: Joule Electra, VAC, Levinson, Wavestreams Kinetics, Ayre, Krell, VTL. Some of those ousted amps were Top of the line models, and very "pricey".

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

While I have never heard your speakers, I have sold, installed and voiced a lot of "large scale speakers" e.g. Wilson X1 and X2, Avalon, Revel Salons, Big Maggie's,and also listened at length to others (Magico, Peak Consult, TAD) and I would expect the biggest gains for you will be in dynamics...

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

I had the opportunity to hear the 725s2 amps last weekend. They are really terrific. On a pair of Maggie 3.6s, they sound fantastic, and only got better as they warmed up. Incredibly delicate highs, yet at the same time, powerful. A lot of jaw dropping and laughing and "Holy s--t!". I the amp...

New Series 2 versions of 625s2 and 725s2! Early adopters?

I am curious to hear what experiences the early adopters of the new Series 2 625 and 725 (s2) have. Both are terrific as-is, but what differences have you noticed with the latest versions?
