    Bully Audio

I was a Krell dealer long ago . I have two other SS amps that I actually like better ,not that there is anything wrong with Krell. I don't know the details as my sub had lapsed while I was sick. Just saw them on the Colloms rating chart. Krell is very expensive to recap but they will drive...

    Audio Research vs. Conrad Johnson

Dam this makes me feel old. Sometimes in the 70s I was living in DC and wanted to sell a sony table and advertised it. I had a call on it and sold it. There were two men sitting at a table drawing up plans. I ask them about it and they told me that they were starting an Audio Company. I have...

Conrad Johnson Premier 350 ... an Amazing amplifier ...

I still have one and it is great, see Martin Colloms review in Audio Critic or many other reviews. Mine was damaged in my move It will turn on and play but then turns off so I suppose it is a relay problem of some sort. While it has been at CJ I bought a Gamut 200 and it will be an interesting...

    Isolation materials

I has just about the last Aries Extended that they had and of course the long arm. They may have reintroduces it by now, I have been out of touch for some time. Sounded very good but a bear to move and as I could only set up one table at a time I sold it to a friend. I was a VPI dealer then and...

    Isolation materials

I use some Star Sound small points under my external motor and that helped. They are brass, I don't know if they are still in business but they made some good things. Their brass cones were a screw out and screw in VPI replacement for the aluminum cones.

    Basis turntables

When I needed a belt I called them and got him himself. As we are a couple of lifers in audio we had a long talk about the men we had known in the old days. He ask me if I would like to be a dealer but as I was then in my declining years I could not take up the offer although I would have liked...

    Turntable Isolation

I saw these on the WHAT HIFI site and they looked good. Vayta has been inspired in designing the concept of dekk as a result of unpleasant vibrations often generated when listening to music – and hope the dekk can make them a thing of the past. The company says it has used some of the...

    Turntable Isolation

If you have an LP12 they sound better on a light stand. I tried a very ridged one, Star Sound stand and this is true. I ended up with a Rube Goldberg stand. Old Torlite Linn stand on top of a target short table. Was always afraid I would knock it over but sounded really good. The LP12 excels at...

You can go with passive and have v control and switching. I am using the Townsend Allegra with the Metrum Octave. Cables make a huge difference. I have still not found my good ICs from my move so Had to use some old ones. One was a top rated ones from many years ago and the other was an old...
