Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

Thank you! Next level is connecting to the Olympus battery-based PSU module, but no internal changes to the Extreme (maybe a dedicated output for a propriety connection to the Olympus PSU).

Good news! Any plans to update it following your newly design ideas implemented on the Olympus?

Introducing Olympus & Olympus I/O - A new perspective on modern music playback

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question: Will the Extreme server stay in the line-up after the Olympus is introduced? Any plans to change/replace the Extreme after the Olympus is out?

    Murasakino Sumile Mono Cartridge

Actually, mine is on the Ikeda 407 (I don't have a Glanz). But with similar results sound-wise, as Mike describes them much better than I do.

DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

Hi, You can read my impressions (and others) here.

DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

Yes. Currently DaVa is awaiting an upgrade from Darius. So the Sumile Mono took its place on the Ikeda.

    "e-know" - but yes :)

DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

Yes, I do. It's the longest coming soon I've encountered :) I hope it will be ready sometime... I plan to mount it with my AnalogTechnik DMT25, right now I use the Bokrand arm.

You can have the display off, as well as the CH LED.

    Mono Cartridges

Old and newly issued. Not sure. I had the Miyajima 0.7 and the Sumile betters it in all aspects. Yes, I have.

    Mono Cartridges

Isn't it possible to have 2 linear arms on the Vyger? If so, that would be the best solution for such a comparison. I have not owned the RS, nor do I have the Vyger, but from my experience, the Sumile mono does things that no stereo cartridge that I've heard on my system does. Mostly related to...

Steinway & Sons Spirio Self-Playing Piano

At the moment. Why shouldn't Kawai, Yamaha and other manufactures not be able to come with a similar solution. I think it's only a matter of time (if they decide it's beneficial).

Steinway & Sons Spirio Self-Playing Piano

It is amazing. My guess is that in the future you'd be able to fit such a system to any piano. That would be an ideal solution.

The CH combo drives my speakers better. But the Genus has a magical tone to it that I could easily live with even if underpowered. The Genus is not at all an “entry” level amp.
  22. I

    Ch precision...p1

I have not. In my system, I have yet to compare it to similar level electronics. I have the Aries Cerat Genus as well, and I find it at a very high level for an integrated amp. As a follow-up, I plan to further explore Aries Cerat electronics.

    Ch precision...p1

I enjoy the best of both worlds. I have an Allnic 7000 and a CH P1. I only use the P1 with its current inputs as I find the “standard” MM/MC input under par at this level. If you use cartridges with low impedance, the P1 is one of the best phonos out there.

Found my bliss with Shindo Vosne-Romanee (+ Nagra 300p)

My understanding is that Shindo is closing their doors. Shindo will be no more, they are now a piece of audio history/heritage.

    Disapointong record purchase.

I was "burnt" many times with s/h record purchases. Rating were off (many times), from various discogs ("respected sellers") and other s/h shops. I also recall working tediously on trying to align and re-align my entire analog set-up due to distortion and other issues I've had with DG...

The new audiophile vinyl series The Original Source from Deutsche Grammophon (AAA)

It's not part of the original source series. I've bought the Songs without Words 3LPs a few years ago. It was OK, but nowhere near the level of the original source series.

    $80K budget for Speakers

I was wowed by these at Munich high end: https://www.vyger.com/products/amargosa/ The designer is crazy (in a good way for us audiophiles) and also builds one of the best turntables/tonearms in the world. Also would recommend Kharma, Clarysis, Zellaton, Alsyvox. Listen before you buy. For...
