Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

Congrats Shakti - great looking table. I hear nothing but great things about the table and its sound. Several AS TT owners have successfully used Synergistc Research’s TT mat including myself. It did improve the sound

Johan, Going well and hopefully also for you. The recent addition of the DS Audio Grand Master Optical Cartridge was a nice improvement over the W3 Optical Cartridge. Analog is supreme in my system over digital - Both vinyl and tape. J-Corder just restored my Technics RS-1500U R2R and will be...

OH, How do you like or what are the differences in sound between the VDH Grand Cru compared to the Colibri XGW. Thanks

What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

Taiko Audio SGM Extreme : the Crème de la Crème

It’s been awhile since I have commented on my Taiko Extreme - only because I was patiently waiting for XDMS to be available for installation and finding time to install the new NIC. Well, I can no longer be quiet - both tasks have been accomplished. Thanks to Ed he made the installation of XDMS...

BillK - Understand, obviously you like the Synergistic Research mat over the AS mat. What improvements are you hearing? I actually own the SR mat and will do a comparison this weekend and give my opinion.

I ordered my Ascona Neo with the gold silencers to achieve the WAF and it looks like I got added benefits.

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

BillK: From Gunther posted in FB: Lets make this clear. Sonically there has been no difference in the past. Since Neo the Gold and Chrome Silencers are made from Cooper and not brass as the non Gold one. So there is a clear sonical improovement you can hear. And the Gold/Chrome always have been...

Ron - BillK’s comment was based on upgrading from brass to gold or chrome plated silencers is cosmetic. Definitely agree on the functionality of the silencers and why the Ascona Neo sounds so grand.

BillK - valid points and agree with you. Thanks

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

BillK - going from the brass to the 24K gold silencers was a reasonable upgrade compared to the optional sandwich platter. I am struggling with the difference between the two platters, which is an additional 8 plates combined with the 56 silencers to make up the optional sandwich platter. Is...

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

Johan, the 11k excludes sales tax but my dealer normally gives me a discount that absorbs taxes, delivery cost and makes it more attractive for me to purchase. So normally my end price will be at least 10 - 15% percent lower than list price.

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

Thanks 2fastdriving for the information. The question still exists will they give us a trade-in credit for the old platter when acquiring or upgrading to the Invictus Platter? I would love to do it but struggling with a 11k for a platter - and it is not about affordability.

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

Thanks love the TA-7000’s - distributor gave me a loaner while my gold plated one was being manufactured and I decided to keep/buy as a second arm - just need my VDH Colibri Master Signature Cartridge back from repair to use. I believe so on trade up and will confirm. The question is how much...

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

Agreed, when I ordered my Ascona Neo I thought i was getting the inlays and was disappointed when I received my unit. It is a 11K option. I am now being told upgrading my platter with the inlays will get me to the Invictus sound quality. Hmmm thats a lot of money for some brass.

    Breaking news from DCS….

Indeed the first 50 hours will be rough but it will start transforming shortly thereafter and will sound its optimum around 500 hours plus. Be patient….you will be rewarded.

    Breaking news from DCS….

I have the Vivaldi One Apex combined with the Taiko Extreme and enjoy the sound immensely however my analog setup (Acoustic Signature Ascona Neo Turntable w/TA-7000 Tonearm & DS Audio W3 Optical Cartridge) blows it away - sounds more like live music.

Johan, how is the TA-9000 arm compared to Kuzma 4point11? I had a 4point9 but never installed it on the Ascona Neo and decided to sell it and go with two TA-7000.

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

The DS Audio W3 cartridge with matching W3 preamp/equalizer is phenomenal sounding and has taken my system up two levels. The combination far exceeds my digital and many analog rigs costing thousands more. I upgraded from the DS Audio 003 Optical Cartridge/equalizer system which is also a...

Nice turntables Johan - which triggered I just added another TA-7000 tonearm in gold and love the impact and flexibility on the table. Acoustic Signature provides great value for the money, excellent sound quality, great aesthetics and achieves the WAF.

p To answer your question I have the effective Acoustic Signature Grip-S record clamp that addresses most warped records but differently from the VPI and after market peripheral rings. As a former VPI TNT TT owner, which had a peripheral ring and an owner of an after market ring used with my...

Haha Leopard is good. Clarity - I hear into the music better. As a musician I can clearly differentiate the tone of the notes and type/brand of piano being played. It’s scary how much more information I can now hear.

Not too many Acoustic Signature owners here?

As a new owner of the Ascona Neo Turntable w/TA-7000 Neo Tonearm the combination has blown me away with its build quality and sonics. The clarity, bloom, air, detail, transparency, 3-D dimensionality, bass extension and organic sonics are habit forming and won’t let me stop listening. I...
