Good morning.
I will go ahead and apologize now if I’m posting in the wrong area with my question. I love music.. and I enjoy listening to a great pair of headphones occasionally. I recently purchased a Peachtree Nova 220se, a SONOS music streaming system, and a pair of Sennheiser 650 cans. My problem is this: My headphones aren’t loud enough and I don’t know what I need to correct this issue. From what I’m reading, it appears I need an amp or DAC for my headphones. I would have never thought in a million years that I would need additional equipment after purchasing my Peachtree. Thank you for any info you may be able to provide me.

Hello Brent,
Seems that a good dac/headamp will suit your need.
May the WBF members know your budget and taste of musiv/sonics?

I suggest you consider Chord Hugo TT. Great sound and power. No need for headphone amp.

Your Sennheiser HD650 headphones require more power than provided by the headphone amp section of your Peachtree Nova. I also own the 650's and use a separate headphone amp for them.

In your price range you can look here for some ideas for a headphone/dac device:

You could also head over to:

https://www.head-fi.org/forums/

The head-fi site is all about headphones and related equipment in many different price ranges. Lots of info there at your target price point.
