I have a Pioneer CT W404R tape deck, which I've had for some years and I keep it cleaned plays well, but lately it sometimes will erase parts of a cassette, any help will be welcomed.

Yes, they have a cassette and a R2R forum, but for someone who have no experience with electronics repair, there can be only one advise: give it to a tech and let him do a repair. Those machines are complicated and they know what to do. If someone has no clue, its impossible, even with a schemo, to repair such a thing. And doing diagnosis on the internet is like consulting a doc on the internet, not really a serious job.
