I have a pair of VK150s (bridge parallel monoblock version of the VK-75s) and a pair of ML1.1s. They are similar in the midband but the Lamms are more extended at both extremes. Note that the VKs I have are none SE so the input and drivers are all octal as opposed to the SEs which had 6H30s. The ML1.1s are no longer in production and there is no word when if ever they will be replaced. It appears that Lamm has decided to make only SET tube amps.
My HT is all BAT, VK-31 SE Superpack HT bypass with VK-6200. I'm a Lamm dealer but clearly I like BAT too.

What I heard at CES was really interesting exciting. Perhaps the purchase by Music Direct will give BAT the capital they need to come out with some new products.
For instance, BAT has done away with the caps in the preamp and the unit is now transformer coupled. Far more transparent with an amazing amount of low level information. All I could say was wow when hearing Sonny Meets Hawk on the system (so did Geoff too!) played back on the big AVID table.
Thanks Jack. I had a 75SE 8 years back that was exceptional, but it's been a long time and on different speakers. I am thinking of trying a 55SE (I don't require the power) first, then may have Lamm 2.1s on the mind if it sounds good. There is no way I can afford the ML2.2s
Hi Keith, my parter who coincidentally is also named Keith has ML2.1s. They are lovely amps. They would have no trouble driving your Zu's. I bet that combination would likewise be lovely.
Hi Myles, the Music Direct acquisition has shaken up the distribution network a bit. I hope they stay with Architectural Audio here (Magico, First Sound, Dali, Reimyo, Zanden, TW Acoustic, Dynavector, Mastersound, Naim, Audience, 47 Labs, etc) in the Philippines. AA's guys are very good at what they do and are a dream to work with. I'd really like to hear what Viktor and Geoff have been doing lately.

Hi Interesting change for BAT...I used to have a all BAT System VKP10SE, BAT VK51SE, VK150SE's but moved on...specifically finding equipment more transparent....their website must be really dated...
