I'm using a TEAC 3-head tape cassette deck recorder with DBX in a secondary room, for my own music demos. Then I transfer them to CD-Rs.

I became reasonable and have sold most of my cassette decks - only a Nakamichi CR7A and a 680 are still staying. :(

Dragon sitting in the storage room. Many of us have R2R machines also.

Revox B215 and Nak CR4A cassette decks to go with my Studer A810 and Tascam BR20 RTR's. I use the cassette decks to record streams off Tidal; the Revox, in particular, is terrific for this, and $4 for a C90 cassette beats $70 for a 10.5" reel of LPR35 to get the same recording time at 7.5 ips (though I have had really good results on my Studer A810 at 3.75 ips).

My old JVC KD85 sits unused among the rest of my disco'd audio gear. In my listening room I have a Tascam BR-20, a Teac X1000R and a Pioneer RT-707, all of which function beautifully. I also have a temperamental Dokorder 1120 that I need to do a little work on...(She works, but she's twitchy).
