I agree, they aren't a high efficiency speaker at 92dbs/6ohms. The only reason I included them in this thread originally was because the manufacturer drives them with a 2A3 amp at shows. And, I believe, the 6moons review was done with a 10 watt amp.
I heard them with my 2 watt SET 45 amp and a 150 watt SS amp last night.
I'll say more when I demo them at home. Last night I heard them in a system/room that I wasn't familiar with.

Exlibris,
If they sound sufficient and good at your place that would be good confirmation that its efficient enough. I've also been intrigued with Cube Audio but do have some reservations with them using so many whizzers on their 10 inch full range driver. But at that price, I would consider the Druid mk6 first especially after Phil's glowing report on them.

Can you send a link to that report?

Phil ( 213Cobra) released his 7 month report / commentary on Druid 6 about 2 weeks ago. Search for Zu Druid 6 on Audiogon or go to Zu speaker thread here on WBF. It's an extremely detailed and fascinating report on new Druid so highly recommended.

It looks like I'll have to travel outside of Canada to hear them. From what I've read, they tick all the boxes.

It's a tough job, Keith, but someone's gotta do it.

Exlibris, reach out to Sound Of Tao. Graham has the Trio15 Horns1. I'm not sure if he considered the Voxativ option.

Thank you. Yes, I've spoken to Graham a few times about these speakers and his other speakers.
It's interesting that they are going with the Voxativ drivers at Munich. From what I've read, it seems that most owners prefer the Horn1.

Exlibris, I remain *this* close to considering the PAP Horns, esp w their hugely attractive home demo scheme.

€9k is stupid money in today's market.
