Did anyone attend the audio show “THE SHOW” (June 7,8,9) in southern CA. this high end show came and went and was not attended or even mentioned at AV showrooms, Analog Planet, and others, I think it was to close to Munich audio show that was in May, this is to bad because this show will die.

I don’t know where you’ve been but it has been advertised here and many members attended.

As for THE Show surviving it will. It’s been around for as long as I can remember.

It has been looking for a permanent west coast location as it used to be Orange County and then LA.

The venue this past weerkend IMO was fabulous.

I hope your right Steve I have attended several of THE SHOW audio shows the last one being 2016 the 2017 was canceled I’m not sure about 2018, I live in northern CA. and this was the one hi end audio show that was close enough to attended. And I wander how many people out of the LA area did attend, if they move the show to August I think it would do better, like I said it was to close to the Munich show and the people from back east that went to Munich show hardly had time to unpack and then fly to CA. and I think that is why AV Showroom and Analog planet didn’t go or even mention the show, and as for advertising the only place I saw was Stereophile.

Forget THE SHOW. Just go to Steve's house to be mightily impressed :)

Who cares about AV showrooms. Uber lol.

One of the bigger issues is the jackass who heads the LA Audio Society didn’t support the show once again. He even tried to have an event at a local retailer the same day as the show. I’m sure 10 people went hahaha. Newport was arguably the biggest show in america just three years ago- when Munich was as big as today- before politics ruined it for all Californians

Steve's Lamm ML3 w/Alexandrias (from Danville days) still the best amplification I have heard (at least what my aural memory can recall of it). It is the sonic model I think of when I compare anything.

Other Lamm stuff I can take or leave, and the ML3's might not suit every speaker, but when ML3's are right I guess everything else seems wrong.

I am glad the THE Show was a success this year. I used to go when I lived in SoCal and thought about going this year when it appeared the show was back and in good hands. Family duties called and I had to be in Ohio for my nephew's wedding for the past week and missed it.

Perhaps things will work out next year so I can attend.

I live in the San Diego area, and my wife and I drove up to attend on Sunday. We thought it was a good show and liked the location, too. We’ll attend again next year. Hopefully the meeting will continue to grow.

I attended Saturday and Sunday.

It was quite good, actually. Not quite up to the level of the previous Newport based shows, but it would seem they are on their way to recovering from last year's debacle (not their fault).

There was a surreptitious announcement made before one of the Sunday seminars, that if industry involvement is any higher next year, they will be changing venues to handle the increase.

Looking forward to next year.
