Anthony (KL) Davis goes to the Lakers.

Good luck, AD.

Wonder how he will adjust to being the #2 guy rather than the face of the team. Will be an adjustment for him to take instructions from LeBron.
AD is a very decent and modest guy.
I think he will have less problems to be second than to see and live with all those shenanigans in Sin City

It will be some show in the Western Conference if Kawhi joins the Clippers. Lakers vs Clippers games will be THE SHOW. :)

Doc had placed his 'ad' for $50k. Time for payoff. :)
It will become THE LA SHOW

Not sure who the Clippers will go after especially now that KD and Klay have serious injuries - certainly narrows the field
This fact at least betters the chances of the Warriors to keep KD and Klay.
I think it is best for the Warriors and for KD and Klay in this situation to stay together

Have I said that I can't stand James

Half the Lakers team is gone for AD and that pompous arrogant king says it is just the beginning

They obviously have given away the farm for the next 2-3 years, a "must win now" sensation cuz when the king id done , the Lakers will need to rebuild and thus why would AD stay

This reminds me of a few years ago when they traded for a bunch of old guys such as Steve Nash and every one of them went out with injuries. Lakers paid Nash his entire contract even though he never played again

If there is a redeeming feature, it is that the Lakers get to keep Kuzma who will be the King's second "hand"

LeBron James reacts to Anthony Davis trade: 'Just the beginning'
From NBA.com Staff

LeBron James' streak of teaming up with superstar talent will reportedly continue in Los Angeles. This time, that talent is joining him, as the New Orleans Pelicans have agreed to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart and a war chest of draft picks.

James, however, could not be more excited at the prospect of joining forces with Davis. The 34-year-old superstar took to Instagram to voice his approval of the deal, exclaiming, "AD on da way!! Let's get it bro! Just the beginning..." The post was accompanied by a photo of James and Davis, with the latter edited into a Lakers No. 21 jersey (a number that hasn't been worn by a Laker for more than one season since Josh Powell in 2010)

James is surely optimistic that the arrival of Davis -- combined with whatever the Lakers do with their remaining and ample cap space this offseason -- will launch the Lakers into title contention. The Lakers spiraled to a 37-45 record after James missed 17 consecutive games due to injury in the middle of the season. Los Angeles has not made the playoffs since 2012-13, when the team was swept in the first round by the Spurs.

This season marked James' first absence from the postseason since 2005, when he was a second-year player with Cleveland. The Lakers' midseason struggles fueled reports that James and the Lakers were eager to acquire Davis, who had made it known to New Orleans that he preferred to be traded to Los Angeles. That union became possible after the Lakers jumped from 11th to fourth in last months DraftLottery.

The Lakers ultimately decided that pick, two future first-rounders, two future pick swaps and most of their young core were worth acquiring Davis, a six-time All-Star and three-time All-NBA First Team honoree. It would appear James feels the same way.

If the Raptors Wizards do their deal that leaves the door open today sayonara to Leonard who can sign wherever he wants without his destination team giving up the farm

And the only other good part of the Lakers deal is to kick Lonzo Ball's father's ass clear out of LA to LA(Los Angeles to Louisiana)

Me too, I would like to see Klay and KD stay as Warriors.

sadly their ages and a year of rehab and missing the entire season has lowered their value to other teams

For me the saddest thing would be that they stay with the warriors but become like Cousins, a shadow of his former self and the Warriors then decide to trade them

Pompous and arrogant. I totally agree with the description of James. It's just the beginning. As a player, how does he know that? I thought only the top brass should know what is the beginning as to a plan for player acquisition is the management's job. But it seems, it REALLY seems James is running the team, and he gets louder and louder, from Miami (soft), to Cleveland (loud) now in LAL (louder). There is no Magic as President, and James just 'took over'. I don't know if James likes Vogel. Vogel might be fired without even coaching a game if James doesn't like him in pre-season. :D

I always felt that a team that poises itself by building for the future usually has the best success.....look at the Clips but to me that team of the future is clearly the Pels. They will quickly be a contender with the number 1 pick, 3 first round picks as well as this years 1 round fourth pick, Ball, Ingram and Hart .I can only imagine what "has beens"or over the hill gang the King will hire to complete his court

Any one remember Rudy Tomjanovich and how many games he coached for the Lakers before he abruptly resigned

Will Rondo remain as the Lakers PG?

Who's left with Ball and Hart gone

Im shocked that Vegas odds are making Lakers 4-1 favorites to win it all and Warriors are suddenly "passé"

So much in terms of players attitude has changed in the NBA. When Magic demanded to be traded in 1980, KG in 2007, Kyrie in 2016, I don't recall they demanded what team they wanted to land. This time, AD, via that lunch he had with James after a game in LA, fired his agent, signed with James' agent, then announced to be traded (getting a cheap $50k fine for violation), and then, threatened one of the top 2 potential landing places of AD not to trade for AD (Celtics), and now, gleefully land his boy AD to the destination James and Paul and AD planned from the very beginning, LAL. I was telling my son a while ago, this kind of movement by AD to another team, prior to free agency, was a lot more worse in taste than KD choosing a champion team to join in, at least KD was a true free agent at that time. No plots, no changing of agents, no trade demand and team destination demand prior to being a free agent. This one is very organized, by the players themselves through their agents. This is not tampering, but connivance, and I think Silver is just fine with it.

That is the kind of emotion that runs with blockbuster acquisitions. I recall Dwight Howard joining Kobe, with Nash, and Pau? Didn't work out. Karl Malone joining Shaq, Kobe and Payton. Didn't work out either. This time the architect is James. I think the owner has bestowed in him her trust, for everything.
