You could trade for CP3 and run a two gunning guard back court like the Rockets are doing. ;)

Had to cough a bit there. LOL

I had fancied on the idea of Kevin Love pre James intoxication. So much for that wish. Hope Danny looks for a good 4.

Both Paul and Westbrook have huge contracts but Houston got the better deal IMO

At this point in their careers Westbrook is my pick over Chris Paul. More athletic and an MVP. Had Westbrook been traded to Boston I might be 51% happy. :)
But Houston loses 2 picks. Not a bad trade.

And CP3 for sure lost his chance for a ring. Not that Houston is going to win however :)

Yes, I still remember CP3's acrobatic shot that won them game 7 against the Spurs in 2015, and I thought since the Clippers beat the defending champs in a very very tough series, that they were going to get the title, but somewhere there a 'freak comeback' by Houston did them in. That was the best I've seen CP3. So four years later, his game has slowed, and I could not envision him as a duo to pair with Kemba in Beantown. :D

The Celtics, meantime are rampaging through opponents and maybe win the title - in the Summer League. :D And someone told me the Knicks were favored to win it all. :D

Ainge got 3 ball shooters in this draft. Picks number 14, 22, 33 can all shoot 3s like breathing. :D So we have possible Klay, Draymond, and Van Vleet in the making. :D

The Dynamic Duos are in the West, the Wild Wild West.
Clippers - KL and PG
Lakers - James and AD
Blazers - Damon and CJ
Rockets - Harden and Russ
Warriors - Steph and Klay (injured)
Jazz - Conley and Donovan
Denver - Murray and Jokic

I think they will just keep shooting more than ever. Russ is better shooter these days than Chris Paul.

The concern I have is that the Rockets are Harden's team. Westbrook is the new kid on the block. How ill he adapt to the change and better question is can he adapt to being second fiddle.

Westbrook is a great player but IMO has a very chippy demeanor on the court that at times is antagonistic and provocative. I never thought he got along that well with Harden or even KD in OKC

Finally as Phil pointed out there are definitely a few other dynamic duos in the west such as Portland and perhaps even Utah. There is an apparent balance of power in the West.

This free agency has proved to me that the great players can control their own destiny and that owners can only give away the farm in these monster trades. Apparently inn the next few years, the Lakers, Clippers, Nets and Rockets have traded everyone and given app trade options so with the Clippers only owning KL and PG for 2 years and they both can leave at the same time makes me wonder if the only goal is the pursuit of a ring where ever they might be playing.
Kawhi is pretty silent but his mode of action these past few weeks to me was a clear indication that he thinks like the King and go where ever he feels he will earn the ring

So similarly AD enters FA at the end of the coming year and he could easily balk.

So yes it is the great players that have their hands around the balls as well as Adam Silver's balls ;)

Welcome to the NBA. 6'0" (with shoes I guess) :D and 7'6", I think C's should hire Kareem for the guy's skyhook.

I thought he was Mugsy Bogues for a second

And btw, watching the Summer league higlights, the small guy is a triggerman, literally, from the 3 point line. And he can drill them,

A true man of his word.........

Report: LeBron won't swap off No. 23 until 2020-21 season
James intended to allow Davis to claim the number worn throughout NBA career

Earlier this offseason, LeBron James teased a return to No. 6, by way of passing No. 23 along to incoming Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis.

But, per a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, that swap will have to wait for the 2020-21 season:

When the Lakers inquired with the league about the jersey change, they were informed the March 15 deadline had past, sources close to the situation told Yahoo Sports. However, the league would have allowed it if the team were able to work it out with Nike, the manufacturer of the jersey, sources said.

But due to production issues and the massive financial hit Nike would have absorbed from the No. 23 James inventory that’s already been produced, Nike could not accommodate the request for this season, sources said.

James wore No. 6 during his four-season run with the Miami Heat, winning two titles while making four straight NBA Finals appearances. Davis has worn No. 23 for all seven seasons he played for the New Orleans Pelicans.
