read the Daily News '7 Best', if that's to be believed ?? No way, while I agree the C2 is without doubt one of the most iconic but to say the '63 SW is the 'Holy Grail' ?? Again, who you consider experts and who I consider are two different things.

For the record I've owned Corvettes for over 42 years, did a body off restoration on a '66, received Bloomington Silver and then sold it less than 6 months later ! My current ride is a '67 BB(L36), vert, M21. While the C2 was the shortest of the generations the '67 was without question the best.

Bob, you have to understand the C8 has not even gone into production yet (4th qtr) so with respect to your 'expert options', mere conjecture at this point. Remember opinions are like bung holes, we all have 'em !

Dave, when you started this thread I didn't know that you were "big" (fan) on Corvettes.
When the 2020 C8 Stingray was first starting to make the news officially with all the specs and prices, it drew me in...the design, and the base model price and the fast acceleration.
I even posted a red one (few weeks ago) in a Toyota thread. But I deleted it as it was off topic.

I'm very glad you started this thread, truly. I can learn more from you, thank you.

I like the C8 as well quite a lot but don't forget about the Ford GT ;)

I tend to agree

If you want the simple lines offered by Ferrari and be in the same price point I believe the Tesla Roadster due out in 2020 at an MSRP of $200K- $250,000 and a 0-60 in 1.9 secs will destroy any of these cars on the road

It also has a futuristic somewhat square steering wheel

Kinda square?????? You know that it was discovered back in 1982 when they made Knight Rider starring Ron Resnick, that it's hard as shit to drive with a "wheel" like that? I mean it's bad in the way that people despise it.

Yes but neither of them can turn tightly from those controls. They never have to go hand over hand.

The C8 can still go hand over hand. The Tesla is either going to redesign for production, or have everyone ordering aftermarket wheels.

You know the "dealer premium" will push the C8 to 100K +

The Ford is in all likelihood unobtainium as it is IMO not what you would call an every day car plus would be driven on tracks rather than streets

I think the Ford is drop dead gorgeous
