A classic psychedelic album for sure Roger. /// Perfect new hi-res audio recording for music audiophile WBF members like us.
i cannot fathom a single audiophile music lover, including I who is into Opera music first, who doesn't appreciate this album which we all grew up with, universally. When I've first read the news earlier today, my first thought was to share with the best music audiophile connoisseurs, here with the high caliber WBF members. Anyone else would be futile, like cheap whiskey.

And the only music format missing is tape. But the remaining formats (CD stereo, Blu-ray multichannel and LP vinyl stereo 200g) are here good enough for 99% plus of us.

My main personal attraction when I've read this was hires multichannel audio on Blu-ray...stereo is of course also included.

King Crimson is to King Kong what Pink Floyd is to Godzilla. ...A figure of speech to say in the court of two Kings, on the dawn of a crimson moonlight.

:) Et voilà.

Great album. I own it on reel and LP. I don’t consider the new LP of any value since it is digitally sourced. That doesn’t mean it won’t sound good but I have no interest in it. I would like to hear Wilson’s new mix.

Day one purchase for me.
I can only imagine what it was like to hear "21st Century Schizoid Man" for the very first time 50 years ago.

Together w "Epitaph", still some of the strongest anti-war, anti-fascist music ever written.

Some of the greatest emotional music of all time.

dminches,

You should re-consider. I don't know about the tape, but the previous Steve Wilson remix is mind-blowing, so I honestly don't know how much better this new one could be. Will give it a try, though, as this is one of my favourite albums!
I don't have the UK 1st pressing of this one, but I have some of the other early KC on first presses, and the Steve Wilson remix always sounds much better, with lots more information. The cool thing is that he dug all that extra stuff, and kept it cohesive, and still faithful to the originals.
If you don't want to get the LP, go for the hi-res downloads or at least the Tidal/Qobuz stream, but do check it out :)

cheers,
Alex

Cool :)
The KC titles are still among Steve's best work, IMHO.
