Been an Apple iPhone fan/user since day one. I switched earlier this year from from my Apple XS to Samsung S10+ Maxed out and love it. I can't imagine at the moment going back. Both are awesome devices and I can't say one is better than the other. Personal preference but I sure do enjoy using the Samsung device for now.

Welcome to WBF Golucid.

Did you explore all six cameras?
The top S10 5G (6 cameras):

Just for fun ... comparison ... (S10 Plus = 5 cameras vs 11 Pro Max = 4 cameras):

For full disclosure; I don't promote the above video, I simply used that one among others as the simplest and without bias.
* Others views and opinions might vary as they always are...because of bias or any other type of promotion. Also, we tend to prefer what we have without having experienced the other...just normal human failure ... nature.

To terminate I believe both phones are fantastic, either one should make its owner real proud.
Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max has a more powerful processor, Samsung Android Galsxy S10 Plus costs $100 less and can be found for even less.

I own neither one, but because price enters my own system of value balance I would most likely pick the S10 Plus. Also, check on the above video from 5:23 to 5:53 (I like the S10+ for that).

* No animals were harmed during the short video.
Best cheers,
Bob

By the way, a Tesla has eight cameras, so the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus 5G is only two short.
I know, a phone is not a car, still, it's much smaller and has that many cameras.

Hi Folsom. I came across this amazing app for Android called 'NetGuard'. You can install it outside the Google Pay app store and super kewl you don't need to ROOT or Jailbreak. I love the app!

What's really slick about Netguard is that it gives you granular control over your device. You can install host files...block ips domains etc. You can granularly block specific app/file send/receive communications...etc. such as I can block any and call communications from specific apps and files. If I could do this on iPhone I could be swayed back - but Apple wants absolute control [and I really don't want to root/jailbreak]...and I am guessing maybe over time, Google/Samsung will flirt over to this direction over time - Maybe? Walled garden seems to be the 'IN' thing.

Regardless of the marketing to the masses. In my humble opinion is that the over-all direction of all companies as far as I can tell...again, I am no expert, is personal data monetization in one form or another. What seems to be apparent is how the companies use your data and then force feed you to digest their pop-ups and marketing. Each has their own objectives how they use it but... the bottom line is that they are ALL using it regardless of the privacy marketing they is being done - again, this is just my observation...I'm not an expert!

If I can somehow slow down or simply block most invasive aspects of my device, I am happy. I am under no delusion I have any privacy but if I can reduce the clutter to the best of my ability and protect myself from my own ignorance, it's a win!
