Hi All,
after having spent 5 weeks with my Elrod Master Diamond powercable and Elrod Master Gold loudspeaker cable, I thought I'll show you some pictures of the pc. About the sound: totally absorbing and brilliant. Nothing comes close :D

Congrats...beefy looking! What else have you listened to in power cables? What led you to Elrod?

At home I used MIT MA-X and several others. Further in the past I used top Siltech. At sets from friends I heard the top of Shunyata. At the best highend store in the Netherlands I also heard Schnerzinger. What all the other cables were missing was the organic nature of Elrod combined with extreem resolution. Other cables were very clean, very precise but fell short in the musicallity department. I took a jump of faith some years ago (because of extatic reviews on the net) without any audition beforehand and was blown away immediately. The new Master series takes Elrod to an even higher summit. My set btw is all Nagra.

Fantastic. I am due at some point to hear Siltech's Triple Crown. I currently use PAD 25th Anniversary power cables which have always worked well in my system. I will do some reading on the Elrods which i believe the folks at Audio Federation use a lot...and they have great world-class systems and experience.

That Masters Series Diamond looks great...thanks for posting those photos!

+1 that the Masters Series line in Gold and Diamond take their playback quality to the next summit!

I have never heard the Triple Crown but I can remember my first high-end Siltech cable: it outpriced my CD-player four times haha (!) but after hearing it, it was impossible to return to the shop. Since then I am a firm "believer", no better make that Knower of the influence of cables. A great cable equals a component. Elrod cables proof this as no others. I am not a dealer but in Elrod's case I am certainly an advocate trying to spread the word in the Netherlands (home of Siltech as well).

Some advice (not related at all to your mentioning out a particularly fine dealership on the West Coast :))...
Whatever dealer you wind up working with make sure you are looking at and talking about the latest Master Series cables (Gold and Diamond) currently which are the latest designs and have sonic results like never before or if looking at used or demo, the prior Statement Gold or Diamond and MBX-2 last generations before Master Series (last 2-3 years). I own some of both the last Statement Gold and the new Masters Series Statement Gold generations and there is a big uptick in overall result and performance versus the older cable offerings (ELS/ELS-2 (sp?), Signature and original Statement generations) that are 5-10 years old.

They are both world class cable offerings in the absolute top tier. Beyond that I will not comment except to say that
both companies' products will always be a part of my system as I believe them core to the musical result I am experiencing.

I’m sure it’s a great cable but it could have been even greater if it was fitted with Bocchino connectors. They make all the difference, as I discovered on my Pranawire Vajra XE, which catapulted my system into the stratosphere.

With respect there is no 'but' here. These Elrod Master Series are great cables; I own the MS Golds and have heard the MS Diamond's several times.

Elrod has built alot of cables with Bocchino connectors and uses Bocchhino XLRs and RCAs and speaker terminations heavily in his other offerings and will do so for any request for power cords as well. Given the expense, space limitations, etc...of those connectors for power cords, that is elective and up to the customer; for all other cases the FI-50 NCF from Furutech, was tested to be the best out there sonic-wise and abiliity to terminator well with 3 10-gauge leads of all others avaiable from Furutechh, Oyaide and a host of other purveyors according to what I was
told regarding his testing over the last couple of years.

Prana Cables are another great offering out there that demands high levels for respect and certainly the subject for another thread.

The "standard" Furutech are ok for me. Heaven forbid if the sound would even be better: I would not be able to leave the house ;-)
