Testing RAM with different brands and models, seems to have more difference than I thought

Maybe you didn't understand my question: which brand and model of RAM do you prefer and why? I understand that each one plays in a certain way, but what is your personal preference? Could you describe the sound of some models you tried? It would make my life much easier if there was already a predefined path...

As I stated that they have different ups and downs and my setup has different hardware, different software, and different optimizations so my opinion maybe different from yours since we don't base on the same hardware and software configuration and optimizations, let alone preference.

So, I'd rather not talking about how each model sounds in details as it may cause controversial and debating for best RAM module is not my point of discussion. I just want to share what I found from my observation that different RAM model sounds different. CL choice is not my main concern.

If you want to stick with lower CL will also sound better for sure, I won't be against your decision as I also used to do that and I found it doesn't also sound better for over all improvement later. Maybe some aspects of lower CL can improve sound quality but may have some demerits elsewhere.

If you want to find out which RAM is truly the best for you, just buy all kinds of 4GB RAM and test them out then pick what you prefer the most like I did. For 4GB shouldn't be too expensive to buy a few of them to find out. You wouldn't need to buy more than 10 candidates from current market.
