Peru, is a country with amazing diversity.
I was there 3 times for work last year i go again saturday.
You got big snowy mountains jungle beach history and the big amazone basin/ rivers
Nice people.
I visited machu pichu which is stunning .
I did 2 jungle tours by boat /canoe / walking .
Saw dolphins otters anaconda cayman monkeys.
Do you know that in manu national park there still live many uncontacted people .
In an area as big as romania nobody knows what goes on inside .
Nobody is allowed to go in, plus its dangerous they dont like intruders .
Many got sick from initial contact with white people.
The last frontier , the jungle is really amazing
Quite agree and I was almost brought to tears watching sunrise at Machu Pichu. Loved a 3 day trip to Rio Tambopata Research Centre, being an Ichthyologist, and must go again to the Upper Amazon. Lake Titicaca homestay was very interesting, cooking food and learning Quechua.

Siem Reap (Cambodia)and Petra/Wadi Rum (Jordan) are my other world favourite visits

Chiang Mai booked for Oct.

Back from 4 nights in Iceland and the weather was perfect, sunny but cold; the food fabulous though a little pricey; and some wonderful tours to waterfalls, glacier, geysers and thermal spas. Highly recommended though winter can be hit or miss with the snow and hurricane winds grounding everything. Next visit would be in summer to do more hiking and explore the island further.

The best trip I had. I went to the same water fall. I think if you go there again in summer, you will feel like it is a different country. Iceland is green instead of white. Their natural water taste so good. Here is my wife doing yoga thing. :)

Your wife is at 90 degree to the ground, did you advise her that 92 degrees is the magic angle?

I took this photo at Gulfoss on March 2017.

It is going to be nice to be back there again.

Thomas, you take some fantastic photos!

Recent memorable destinations for us include Siem Reap and Chiang Mai. Would certainly like to spend more time in CM as I sense it has a lot of depth, of which we barely scratched the surface. From a European perspective, Lisbon and Vienna keep drawing us back, albeit for very different reasons.

Thanks a lot for your compliment.

I would like to visit Siem Reap some day.

There are so many places to go.

Visited Norway last year and Trolltunga (Troll tongue) is one of the most memorable places I have visited.

Almost 12 hours of walking was no joke to my legs but the magnificent view made the trip worth 100%. (Albeit followed by 2 days of muscle soreness and sunburn )

Here are the photos of me and my girlfriend on the rock. Looking back the photos of me sitting at the edge of rock still gives me chills..

Long Beach and Tofino are nice to visit ...

agree with Tofino and Long Beach. I also enjoy the drive from Nanaimo. While planning for the trip I was wondering why such a long time for such a short drive (I think 250kms).. twists and turns highway speed limit changing very often.. I like it, almost like playing a video game

Driving from the East Coast to the West Coast of Vancouver Island up the mountains and rivers and landing in the forest leading to Long Beach, and Tofino is a satisfying travelling experience, very.

Amazonas peru , parque national pacaya samiria.
Canoe trip with the locals , you can swim in these waters actually , they are full with arapaima anaconda cayman ( black and white ) E eels etc .
But only during the day ………. at night they hunt anaconda can grow up to 10 M.
I did actually swim in the river but I wasn't very relaxed lol , there was a french guy as well who did some piranhia fishing , he wanted to take it of the hook, but that costed him the top of his finger true story .

Ps may be the moderator can delete the pics that appear double thanks.

Without a doubt, Japan. Delicious and healthy food, courteous, respectful people, clean cities, breathtaking countryside, efficient public transit, tons of hi-fi shops! Was there in 2017 in an exploratory to move. Met with Kenji Hosoi at Kenrick Sound in Nagahara for four hours. Lots of opportunities there. My daughter constantly begs us to return to Japan. Fantastic, unforgettable experience.

To Visit? NE USA & Canada ...

Maine, USA and New Brunswick, Canada. The Bay of Fundy on the North Atlantic Ocean.

A few Vermont friends and I went whale watching (North Atlantic right whale) a few years back off the coast of Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick. Six (6) hours in a 65 ‘ sailboat in the open water.

And those rarer than rare North Atlantic right whales ... when you find them ...they are Incredible!

Like locomotive engines cracking the sea surface ... eyeballs bigger than bowling balls.

I have traveled more than 35 countries.

I recommend
Europe: Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia
Asia: Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and Guangzhou in China

Good food, not expensive and its own beauty.
Guangzhou is very good for audiophiles too.

I don't prefer expensive countries, try to stay as short as possible usually.
