Xenforo Update Completed-The Thread To Report Bugs

Well I am happy to report that the update is complete and everything is functioning including our advanced search "Elasticsearch" that will search down to three characters.

Things look a little different and we like the old ding bats and are endeavoring to replace the new ones with the ones we previously had

It will take us a few days to clean up and change some of these features but I am happy to report that as best I can tell we lost absolutely no data in the update

So going forward please use this thread to report any issues or suggestions

I noticed that each user name now has all of their data expanded under their usernames with an option to collapse the data. I prefer the old way where the default shows the member's data collapsed with an option to expand it.

I am also noticing some code above and to the left of the stuck threads and the normal threads as I show in the included images. Of note is that in our test thread the spelling was correct so we will get that fixed as well Screen Shot 2020-10-27 at 12.55.12 PM.png Screen Shot 2020-10-27 at 12.55.31 PM.png

Thanks Ron

I am still trying to understand why Julian and I have that red link under our signatures and no one else does

I must admit I don't like the ding bats which are Google derived. We are hoping to revert to the ones we used in the last version

The "like''s" in bright blue are really disturbing, affecting our reading pleasure ...

Can we have a Latest Activity button showing just reply's, not the like's?

I found it

Micro--seriously that blue little ding bat is affecting your reading pleasure:oops:

I will ask about that but this is inherent in the update.

I will ask if the "likes" can be removed from "latest activity"

Have you ever considered just using "latest posts" and those issues are not there

Micro-the more I look at it I honestly see zero concerns as to how it can be distracting. The entire purpose of a "liked"post in the latest activity is that it tends to bring readers back to that thread so I am going to say that the "blue"likes stay. What is affecting your reading pleasure that is any different than seeing the members avatars to the left. I am sure they don't bother you

We are looking for bugs in the system and then if possible we will look at personalized requests such as yours

Steve, why are green circles constantly coming from your picture?

However Bud, I noticed that you as well have that red link at the bottom of the post that expands your signature

I had the same issue and resolved it by taking my last line which was a link to my system and moved it to the line above and the red link shown went away..

My thought is that the signature section has a default of 5 lines and this is hopefully a simple fix otherwise it just serves as a way to expand your signature

Bud yours is quite extensive so that is probably why you are seeing that in your posts

BTW, Bud putting your cursor over any and all of these dingbats tells you what they represent, so if you were unsure all you would need to do is put your cursor over the flashing green light

I am using an iPad. No cursor. Finger doesn't seem to work like that.

I posted a new 'toon today and noticed that I was unable to make the image full size because this attachment option was missing. If you want consistency, there will have to be a fix, otherwise the user/member will have to click on the smaller image.
