I don't know this cable, but I have observed one thing recurrent in comments from people who have had the chance of reviewing the well-known uber-expensive power cables. The recurrent comment is that the upper-tier cables from the same manufacturer are "darker" and yet you hear "more".. And the same applies here. It seems that the Nanoflux was a wonderful cable, but the V1 will be darker and yet more revealing somehow. The same applies to the hyped Ansuz cables, the C2 is wonderful, probably the best you could dream of, but the D2 is darker and yet more revealing. Just a thought.

And another thought: When Furutech reelased a new product, it would offen be limited to a certain number of copies, as was the case with the Nanoflux, but then it turned out that there was no limit really... And so I hope that the V1 will be mass produced rather than the 40 units they speak about... I love the brand and I'm really excited to see/hear what the new V1 is..

Piotr,
where would you start your audition with this cable? Scource, amp or from wall to (in my case) pure power 6 NCF distributor?

Is this a guess or you've actually heard the V1?

I'm sorry if I have made an impression that I have heard the cable. I was just making a comment on the basis of a Soundrebels review...

All I can say is that the Soundrebels are right in everything they claim.
I have NEVER heard such an organic resolution from a power cable before. Forget "power cable", I mean ANY cable. Key words: 3D, truth in sound, emotionally addictive. If you test one, you will buy one. Will report in a month or so; cable is still breaking in. BTW, if you want one, look for it NOW because it is said they are extremely limited edition.

This cable opens up a very interesting issue which is namely, possible adjustable EMF filters? To begin
1) How long have you been listening to the cable?
2) Are the barrel fittings we see along the cable purely cosmetic to conceal differences in cable width, or are they adjustable EMF filters and if so, have you heard any differences if you change the location of the barrels (if that is even possible)?

Hi Marty,
I have never heard about adjustable EMF filters:rolleyes:. And I am not an engineer. The barrels are in a fixed position. The only questions I can answer is about playing time and location of the entire cable. It has been in my set for about 100 hours, so it has only started breaking in. I put it between the pure power 6 NCF and my Nagra cd player. This morning I changed this: now between my NCF wall socket and the Pure Power. First impression: it certainly does NOT hurt:D.

Congratulations on your purchase! If it only has 100 hours and sounds so good already, it will probably become quite magical after full burn-in.

...I think the variable collars are what Stealth has been doing on some models. You can "tune" the cable.

There are some companies (like Stealth Technology) that use tunable (by sliding) ferromagnetic collars around their cable. That the barrels are fixed in the Furutech cables is obviously a different thing completely.

Hello,
Furutech as manufacturer speaks of...Formula GC-303 EMI-Absorbent Modules surround the cable....
I have not yet succeeded in opening or removing such a capsule so that a comparison can be made with vs. without module.
I hope you enjoy the V1. Rainer

...very interesting @rpk

Thank you for posting. It *looks like crystalline materials, perhaps quartz and tourmaline. We read info from some "ground" box manufacturers that their boxes contain similar blends.

Also, one of the Shunyata patents describes such materials in those tubes you see on some of their cables. My reading of those is that the materials are crushed to a more powder-like consistency.

Thanks again for the interesting post.

Hmmm, perhaps something like this?
