Hello
I'm undecided between the Innuos Statement Next-Gen PSU and Aurender N20e. Did anyone get to compare them? And what do you think about Aurender N20?
Thank you,
Best regards,
Gady
I'm also in a dilemma regarding servers, but I have to throw the Taiko into the mix. I don't think anyone has the new PSU in their system... I'm loving the sound of the Sense app playing local files with offline mode activated. Maybe the new Statement could be the black sheep... When I compared Aurender in my system, although not the highest models, it was the N10 I believe vs my modest Innuos Zen mk3, it seemed the Innuos dealt with the bass better, the Aurender a little smoother on top. I did not upgrade to the N10, but can't comment on the new N20e.

The price of the Innuos with the new PSU is more like an N30SA than an N20.

Some may help choose by the operating system of the server /streamer
taiko is not linux as most all others are.
To me I think it takes a lot effort to make a windows server and the sound to me is more natural
having said this a better psu for anything digital matters a lot but linux can have a less effect with psu then windows
can as an OS

Did you consider Taiko as well and if not why not?
Thanks

Hello Matt,
I'm not considering Taiko yet.
It is more expensive (26,600 euros, 8TB) versus Innuos Sratement with Next-Gen Power Supply (19,400 euros, 8 TB).
When I read manual, the installation of the server is more complicated, requiring the installation of drivers for different DACs.
I did not find my MPD-8 Playback Designs DAC in the list of drivers.
So, I think more in the direction of Innuos Sratement.
At the same time I also found very good reviews about Aurender N20.
So it's a little hard to decide. Especially if it is not possible to compare them at home, in my system.

Hi Gady,
I would contact Emile from Taiko Audio for advice regarding the MPD-8.
Further the installation of the server can be done remotely by Taiko Audio.
And the price difference between the NG Statement and Extreme is not really big in high end terms.
IMHO, the Extreme is by far the more mature device, at least I would compare them by listening.

Thanks for letting us know, maybe you could explain what sonic differences you are hearing between them, and which system you would recommend if someone is not using Roon? Do you find one of them the more transparent/neutral ? Thanks!

FWIW, I was looking for an end - game music server / streamer to replace my DIY music PC + Aqua LinQ streamer. As such I purchased an Innuos Statement. Unfortunately, my current combo was better in terms of clarity, spacial cues' definition, depth and soundstage width. Not miles better, but noticeably better. I say unfortunately because I was looking forward to a one - stack digital source but it simply wasn't so. The only semi - nod I'd give to the Statement was a bit more body but again at the cost of clarity + everything else. Now, mind you, my DIY music PC does have quite a few bells and whistles but no more than many have accomplished (some much more) at Audiophilesstyle.com. Net - my music PC + Aqua LinQ costs less, is more flexible and sounded better than the Statement. YMMV.

Any news from Munich? First-hand experience with the new PSU and opinions?

Edit: Found this video of another A/B demo in Munich this time. 4:45

They also announced a new line of products, the Pulse series: https://innuos.com/pulse-series/ .

It seems they are focusing this on the purely streaming customers, with no internal hard drive and cd ripper. However, given the new designs they have for this Pulse series with upgraded parts and capacitors like the Audionote KAISEI and Single-level cell ssd for the OS, I am wondering if there will be a new statement product soon that will incorporate these and more.

Thanks for your input. Were you using the Innuos streaming roon or did you use the Sense app?

I am wondering if there will be a new statement product soon that will incorporate these and more.

The NEXTGEN Statement have new regulator cards that uses the newer modules from Sean Jacobs.

The Power section uses two custom-designed ARC6 AC/DC modules – each containing a new high-precision Active Rectifier board, a massive 10mH DC Choke and almost 4 times more capacitance provided by six Mundorf caps. The ARC6 modules are mounted on the new Adaptive Vibration Control (AVC) platform, a combination of Panzerholz wood with a specific density gel layer, which is highly effective at dampening high-frequency vibration coming from the chassis.

In the Server section, the Regulator modules include a dedicated CPU Booster module, providing up to 15A of current to the CPU for faster transients. All rails are further smoothed by new Audio Note KAISEI capacitors benefitting all the main components: Motherboard, USB Reclocker, Ethernet Clock module and SSD.

For those who may be unaware, InnuOS v.2.1.0 is now available. On first pass (a few hours of listening over the last 24-hours) there seems to be a nice sonic uplift.

I’m loving the SQ as well. Anyone know how to manually initialize the airplay feature? Also, I HATE that one has to choose between the SQ of native OS and the exquisite interface/function of Roon…. Searching, organizing, reading and finding things is just awful in the Innuos app compared to Roon. But the sound sure is nice…. Dilemma

I just manually enabled my Statement to airplay. This is a wonderful and unprecedented feature. I can now watch YouTube via my main rig. I know SQ isnt great, but there are lots of concerts and music only available on YT. This takes Innuos to a much higher level in my book. It is an epic upgrade indeed!!! Very happy camper!

Hello Hyperion,
What your opinion about Innuos Statement Next-Gen PSU and Aurender N20?
What your priority? What difference in sound presentation between these servers?
Thank you,
