As a long time ARC owner, started with a D76 and SP3 working my way through many amps and preamps and now with the Ref 2se, 5se and 250se for my main with a SP20 and Ref 150 for my second system, I throughly enjoyed the interview. Many of you may remember I had my heart set on the Ref250se only to find they were discontinued when the $ became available and after a talk with Dave Gordon he agreed to see if enough materials were left to make one more pair. I really wanted new and waited with my fingers crossed until the word came back that it was a go! Still the company I became attached so long ago only better!

I auditioned the Ref 160M Mk2 last week and was blown away! Hope to see you there.
Any other details regarding the new Mark II version of the 160M? Same cosmetics, power rating? What are the changes? How does it compare to the original 160M if you've listened to both?

From what little I know, and will find out more on Thursday at Axpona, the MK2 have all new caps and new wiring. I can't answer any follow ups as to what that entailed but will try to get more information form the ARC folks on Thursday

Another show done and dusted. Thank you to all our guests that kept the room full. Audio research gear certainly held up their side of the system and IMO we had a great result.
The Jeff Beck sessions were SRO and even had someone lying in front of the speakers on the floor.
Thanks again

I have coming back from Axpona 2 pairs of the new REF 160m mark 2 . They have exactly three days usage. I do not need nor am I planning to use 4 in my showroom so if a pair of these beauties is something you might be interested in drop me a note or give me a call.
