Videos of Acoustically-Coupled Audio Recordings

Greatest fool of all is the one who fools himself;)

It is very easy to be spineless and hide behind a keyboard these days. Post a video of your system playing the movement and show us all what you got! I don’t hide.

You never did answer the question on your technical background.

I don't see the relevance to this topic. Whatever I end up saying to you I'm positive you'll find a way to spin it and discredit me and my experience, at the same time as you boost yourself. It is typically what happens when people ask for this in unrelated discussions, and from what remember from your comments around the forum, it is exactly what you'll do. I told you I don't play in the mud.

Our background is the kind of thing we can discuss over a glass of wine in a nice listening session after we get to know each other better, or if we're discussing our products because you're interested.

In any case, I believe I made a generic description on my intro to the forum, you can check it out.

Here are some horns, strings and wood instruments for you, like you never heard before:

What recording is this? Haitink with Concertgebouw? For me to know what we're talking about you need to provide a reference, otherwise it's just your word and fancy descriptions.

Assuming it is indeed Haitink, you're right, I never heard it like this, but that's not necessarily a good thing.

At 36 and inexperienced, you have a lot to learn. If you are lucky you will achieve and get high enough to look up and catch a glimpse of what I know, have seen, heard and have done. You are no longer a waste of my time, think what you want to think.

Oh, no, I am scared…
But there are some experts here whose judgement is final and binding. Kedar, we need you here! Come on!

Lol! Now you have said it all! I guess that we are not going to get that video of your system playing the movement are we?

I need to consult my family and probably write my will before I do this. You do scare people, Carlos, did you know that?

Trust me, it’s not me……it’s your lack of confidence!

Answer the question! What version of Shostakovich is it? If you want someone to post up on it. There are only dozens of recordings...given their variability, using the same one is rather important to the exercise.

BTW, where is my Perlman? If you won't play, how can you expect anyone else to?

And here is the spin and push, right on the clock. At least it was soft, you mentioned my age and assume some arbitrary level of experience that you consider low.

I don't care much for what you think you know and how far up some imaginary food chain you see yourself. I'm sure you know plenty and are a big boss (your ego surely seems unbounded), but that's not actionable for me. I'm commenting on your videos, the only data point we share between us beyond hollow words.

So, what is the recording that you're using in the Shostakovich 8th III video?

Well Carlos you have your (butt hurt) opinion and that’s fine but NO ONE who has heard my system has said it lacks body or is 2 dimensional…quite the opposite. If the phone recordings don’t let that through to your ears then we now understand at least one limitation of phone recordings. So forgive me if your criticism falls a bit…flat upon my ears ;)

The fact that phone recordings just cannot convey the full weight of the low register of piano or of low orchestral brass is one of the many reasons I am not interested in posting them.

Send me the Tidal link. I don’t hide!

Everyone wants to know the recording that I used after they found it unimpressive. How telling!

We want to know the recording so we can know if it is impressive or not. As a technical guy I'm sure you know that without a scale and reference point you have nothing... You gave us half a nothing so far and are trying to sell it as the best thing since sliced bread. It might be, but I'll still need the source to compare and confirm, I won't take your word for it, just like you wouldn't take mine.

Stop stalling and provide the reference.

But wait you have already stated your comments. It sucked let move on!

Rexp already did earlier in the thread in post #2238
Great thank will look it up and record it during my next listening session. I can’t wait to hear it on the bit WAAR system!

Here is some more red meat for the peanut gallery:
