    Review of the Senheiser HD800S

Think so. I need an SUV as well - so I think the SUV is going to win out over a stereo system...

    What's Everyone Reading

I think I have now read everyone one of Ben MacIntyre's Books. The latest being this: he writes very well for those of us that don't have much in the way of grey cells.

    Review of the Senheiser HD800S

Hmmm. All good points and well made. Personally I'm still considering a higher end headphone set up - but frankly at the prices of the higher end headphones, and the front end + amplification - I am drawn back to a simple HD6xx / DT 880 etc, and half decent converter/streamer like a Naim HP4...

    Review of the Senheiser HD800S

I haven't been very active in a while now - lost interest in hi fi discussion in favour of listening - but am curious after reading your experiences - do you feel it might just be time for a different headphone - like the D8000 or Meze or something? Sounds like alot of work to cure alot of...

Man - I feel an intellectual lightweight in the company of the readers of the distinguished works cited ^. Jolly good story.

What are you currently listening to (Classical)?

Oh yes - a really, really good performance - happenstance I listened to this last week while having a Brahms fest. Pretty hard to beat Arrau, the CO and Haitnik. By the by - saw the RCO once in Sydney at the Opera House - horrid space for folks that haven't been there (looks pretty from the...

    This is insane...the Quad ESL

That would be me. I respectfully differ in my assessment - although I would agree it depends on how loud you care to listen. That said all of the amplifiers mentioned I imagine would be great with 57's. But really, its the state of the 57's that matters more than the amplifier, IMHO.

    My Current Audio Systems

Not for me - but I understand the 7506's Dekoni's can work. Think I'll start my own thread about a headphone search rather than further pollute Tom's - sorry Tom ;)

I wonder if it is the same I have (mine's 2007 - BIS 1701/2) - mine's ripped to 64 .dsf off a SACD. It is very good, as I recall. BIS is very reliable.
