I connect my Fiio x5 2nd gen player through coaxial to my Sony home receiver. On sample rates above 48kHz my subwoofer does not work. Anyone know why this is?
I definitely hear a difference between analog and digital. Night and day. I prefer the analog sound. That’s not to say digital sounds bad. It doesn’t. Analog just seems to provide a warmer, crisper sound in my opinion. That being said I listen to and enjoy both analog and digital.
The problem seems to have cleared itself up. I guess maybe if a record that has a lot of static on it is played it can cause some static to linger on the turntable for a while but it eventually goes away.
There’s one big one that causes a bass thump through my speakers when the stylus hits it but aside from that they don’t seem to affect the sound quality.
So I got a vinyl copy of The Zombies: Odyssey and Oracle today and noticed that there are about 4 very small dents on side A. I noticed these dents after playing the record 2 times so they don’t seem to affect the audio quality of the vinyl. Has anyone else experienced a dented record?
