Subwoofer disabled on high sample rates.

I connect my Fiio x5 2nd gen player through coaxial to my Sony home receiver. On sample rates above 48kHz my subwoofer does not work. Anyone know why this is?

The Sound of Analog, the Sound of Digital

I definitely hear a difference between analog and digital. Night and day. I prefer the analog sound. That’s not to say digital sounds bad. It doesn’t. Analog just seems to provide a warmer, crisper sound in my opinion. That being said I listen to and enjoy both analog and digital.

    Turntable static

The problem seems to have cleared itself up. I guess maybe if a record that has a lot of static on it is played it can cause some static to linger on the turntable for a while but it eventually goes away.

    Small dents in record

There’s one big one that causes a bass thump through my speakers when the stylus hits it but aside from that they don’t seem to affect the sound quality.

    Small dents in record

So I got a vinyl copy of The Zombies: Odyssey and Oracle today and noticed that there are about 4 very small dents on side A. I noticed these dents after playing the record 2 times so they don’t seem to affect the audio quality of the vinyl. Has anyone else experienced a dented record?

    Turntable static

How can I get rid of (or at least reduce) turntable static? I’ve been hearing a good amount of pops while playing my records lately. I’m assuming it’s a static problem with my turntable and/or stylus cause it’s happening with every record I play. The records are clean so I know it’s not a...

The Doors DSD downloads (Acoustic Sounds)

Yes, I own all of The Doors albums on vinyl. Like with the DSD downloads I find myself turning the volume way up when listening to the vinyl. I do feel that the vinyl packs more of a punch when it comes to bass and dynamic range but vocals sound better on the DSD downloads (Not much better but...

The Doors DSD downloads (Acoustic Sounds)

So I decided to expand my DSD file collection by purchasing/downloading The Doors studio albums from Acoustic Sounds despite all the negative reviews I’ve read about them. While I agree that the sound is a bit thin (lacks bass and I find myself having to turn the volume on my devices way up when...

The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed (2019 remastered or original master?)

Purchased the original master. Just finished listening. Very happy with it. Love the DSD format.

The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed (2019 remastered or original master?)

BruceD: blu ray pure audio discs are usually top notch in terms of sound quality. I own a few but I want The Stones album as DSD files to expand my DSD library. NorthStar: I think all of the recent Beatles remasters (Sgt. Pepper, White Album & Abbey Road) sound great. Also dig all the Doors...

Thanks for the responses. I’m leaning toward the original.
