Any experiences with the bigger Wolf Von Langa speakers?

Highlight of the show for me. Fast, transparent, dynamic, musical. Stunning synergy with SW1X.

What is going to be your endgame speaker?

Tannoy Canterbury GR. Mine (since 2022) were built in 2017. Could not be happier.

Taking the Lumin X-1 DAC/Streamer to a Higher Level

Someone had to be first: It's my pleasure and privilege to be the first U.S. customer for the WestminsterLab LUMIN DC Cable (thank you Gary and Angus). Inspired by High Fidelity (Wojciech Pacu?a) and Mono & Stereo (Matej Isak) reviews, and with great faith in the people behind the product at...

Merlot DAC and Syrah Music Server

That's great news for 5-series owners. What is the (USB) path forward for 3-series owners? After Mac OS X El Capitan silenced my MPD-3, I borrowed a friend's Raspberry Pi running Volumio. Bruce, Steve - which digital input(s) do you prefer? I've only heard my PD MPD-3 with the included, garden-variety USB cable. Debating whether to upgrade the latter (intrigued with Acoustic Revive, which separates power and signal) or try a USB to AES converter e.g. Audiophilleo. Thank and...

Playback Designs DAC vs. Scarlatti DAC

MPD-3 has fewer inputs, and specifically has no optical input. Fewer parts? Perhaps. Still a substantial piece of equipment at 27 lbs. shipping, 22 lbs. out of box. And that's the DAC only (no CD transport).

Playback Designs DAC vs. Scarlatti DAC

New member / PD owner Hello everyone, Happy to report my Playback Designs MPD-3 sounds terrific after a few weeks of run-in time. What a stunning upgrade from my "baby step, toe-in-the water" first DAC (HRT Music Streamer II+) notwithstanding 20x price difference. Honestly, it was worth it...
