I an certanly not a guru but i did buy the E unheard. i am not sure it even was one in Sweden at that time. A lot of reading and not one negative comment did it for me. Very happy with it!

In my system i heard a significant improvement after the first 100 h. Its now been playing about 200 h and im getting really pleased with it.

Last monday a local dealer wanted me to try out a FTA Sinope. Its been playing for 5 full days now and today i think its beginning to show its potential. I have it on a long loan (rest of the year) so it will be properly burnt in.

I started with the E on the floor. Then i got a Entreq Athena with level 3 shelves and boy! did things improve :D. The E fits but its tight.
A good platform is really worth the trouble and expence .

Yes, to my ears they have differences that are easy to hear. But first of all, it depends what you have heard before. At my dealer they have a Innous Zenith (which betterd a nucleus). When they turned on the Statement- wow, much better. When they turned on Grimm- okay, quite different...
I have actually heard The E, Innous statement AND Grimm back to back. My dealer made an event (shootout) between the three of them when mine arrived. And this is in a small town in northern Sweden. I cant stress this enough- thees guys at my dealer are incredible. Curios and willing to learn...
I have just tried a generic adapter, a Renkforce. Not fun at all, in my ears. It played for about two weeks, improved a little. Then i changed to Neotech Copper. A big improvement but not really that good, boomy bass and veiled upper end. Next up: Neotech silver- flat, cold and boring at first...
I dont know if i will take the the time to answer- it pulls me away from listening;) and i dont want to stop!
Joking aside, the differens is...hard to put into words because its VERY big.
I built a NUC in an akasa fanless chassie and in a shootout with a Nucleus it was very very close soundwise...
