First of all, I would try some other usb source. If it works, then the error is not in Hermes, if no other USB source works, the error must be found in Denafrips. Did you email Alvin (support@vinshineaudio.com)? Alvin is very helpful in solving technical problems.

Denafrips DDCs do not support dual AES/EBU outputs. I would like to see dual AES/EBU as well as I2S pinout feature there. I suppose Denafrips could add such feature via software update, because I think it is a purely software matter. It would be even better and more versatile device then...

I've just ordered Tubulus Argentus HDMI cable yesterday. Two weeks to wait... Hope it was right choice for my Gaia + Venus II combo. Already sounds great, so I am quite curious what can this HDMi cable bring to table. What burn in time period do Tubulus owners recommend for this cable?

Hi all. Here is my small review of Venus II DAC: First, let me explain why I decided to try Venus II. I was quite happy with my previous DAC in my setup (Simaudio Moon 380D dsd), but when I added Denafrips Gaia as DDC between Moon and Aurender streamer last year, something happened. I was aware...

...And quite coincidentally, my favorite youtube reviewer Hans Beekhuyzen posted very nice review of Venus II. After I placed the order though:) Hope I am not breaking some rules by placing the link to review here.

Agree with @Blake , Kimber D60 is good cable. I can recommend "Chord Epic" cable as well (wchich is in the same price range as Kimber D60). Now for Stealth cables. They are indeed exceptional and crazy expensive. I had the chance to auditioned some Stealth cables at local distributor setup...

Hi Darren, congrats to your Terminator and welcome here! Clock sync works only with Terminator Plus, T Plus has dedicated clock outputs, first gen. Terminator has no such outputs. Gaia is DDC, digital-to-digial converter. And very good one. GAIA isolates and buffers the digital input signals...

You will be happy with Gaia I guess. And dont judge too early, Gaia needs some time to burn in (300 hours Alvin said). Mine is improving each other day.

GAIA REVIEW UPDATE: I’ve promised that I will report my findings after Gaia settles a little bit in my system. I am only at one third of burn in time period (roughly 300 hours is recommended by Denafrips), but I just can’t resist to share that sound quality of GAIA is still improving. As I...

Hi Hifihandyman, Congrats to Venus 2! Now, straight for your question “how on Earth could the Gaia help me?” Well, in my opinion Gaia actually could help you. Your system is pretty good candidate for adding Gaia. In general, I suppose, Gaia is not only great as DDC, but especially great in...

Hi Blake, I am very sorry to read about such issues. Please, let us know, when you will have any info from Alvin about repair process. If it was really problem of relays... As a fresh owner of Gaia I am little bit disturbed by such a flaw. And I am afraid, there is only a little chance of...

Denafrips Gaia is at home! Gaia has replaced my previous (pretty good for the money) Matrix Audio X-Spdif 2. Mainly use as USB to AES/EBU conversion from Aurender N100H to Simaudio Moon 380D DSD dac. Just first impression (right out of the box, after just one hour of listening): - impressive...
