I’ve read snippets of both sides for and against within other threads, but have come to no conclusion. So I’m opening up this thread on WBF with seasoned experienced members.
For better sonics, I’m trying to answer:
1) Do I need a cable cooker?
2) if so, beyond the initial, should I also...
Not sure how to separate the speakers from the electronics but the Gryphon Trident II Loudspeakers + Commander Pre + Apex Stereo amp sounded effortlessly great at the 2023 PAF.
Hawaii- promised my triplets a trip for High School Graduation, but then Covid hit so they couldn’t walk graduation. Last summer 2022 finally took them to Oahu and Maui. I was shocked on that Waikiki is upscale now. We spent time looking for the best poke - much fresher in Hawaii.

Ha! I was the same for Wilsons. With all the positive reviews and the cutting edge tech, seems I “should” like it. I tried hard to like them at several dealers and audio shows but it just never resonated with me.
The OPs question seems to be point-source theoretically superior by coming from a single point vs subjective sonic speaker preferences.
The vast majority of speakers use separate transducers- tweeters, midrange. Many speaker manufacturers use third party transducers like from ScanSpeak and...
