    Degritter ultrasonic record cleaner

I agree the machine is great when it’s working but completely unreliable and of course can’t be repaired. Audio Desk will offer a discount on a replacement but who wants to throw good money away on an un repairable record cleaner. Tried to buy parts from them but they don’t answer E mails...

    Gryphon Mephisto Stereo

Hi folks not posted for a while so I thought I’d update you all. Over the past few months I’ve changed a few things in my system. The ARC ref 40 has been replaced with a Steve McCormack VRE silver reference Hifi One edition speaker cables are now EWA LS80 two pairs to biwire and my...

    Stillpoints LP1 Record Isolator

Your experience with the Stillpoints sounds good, as the clamp does not screw on do you have to leave the small washer off the spindle or is the weight heavy enough to push the record on to the platter ok?

    New MSB footers 2021

Ordered four sets on recommendation from The HiFi Guy for my dac/power supply and transport/power supply I have these on a Finite element rack on their std rubber feet, I have to say I was doubtful if I would hear any improvement but I'm glad to say that I did, it seems that the instruments...

    Merason Dac1

Thanks Mark unfortunately the Pilium is going back to the dealer, I’m really going to miss it think I’d best get saving up. It’s probably the single best bit of kit I’ve heard

    Merason Dac1

Pilium Elektra DAC arrives at Rhapsody

Been playing with my hifi again today, I put the MSB Discrete dac back into my system just to see if I was imagining just how good the Pilium is, while the Discrete is a bloody good dac it's nowhere near as good as the Pilium the sound just seems to shrink to the back of the room where as the...

Pilium Elektra DAC arrives at Rhapsody

I have to agree, I have a Pilium DAC on demo at the moment and I will be be buying it. This dac is the most natural dac I've heard to date and it's not even ran in yet. I have a Schiit Yggy and the MSB Discrete in my system and I know the Pilium is more expensive than either of those but I have...

Krell KSA Amps and the Apogee Scintilla, which newer Krell models can drive a 1 ohm load?

I think that the Antileon Signature was a fantastic amp the build quality was amazing, even the speaker binding posts had built in washers so not to damage the spade connectors, a feature that the Mephisto does not have and of course it sounded just beautiful

Krell KSA Amps and the Apogee Scintilla, which newer Krell models can drive a 1 ohm load?

Iv'e had the Mephisto around 3 years maybe 4, I had the Gryphon Antillion before that and quite a few Krells before that. I am a big fan of the earlier Krell amps I had two KSA 80 bi amped, a KSA 250 then a pair of FPB 750 mcx and the best pair of all were my Krell KAS 4 box monos, but the...

Krell KSA Amps and the Apogee Scintilla, which newer Krell models can drive a 1 ohm load?

Hi every one I have a been using Scintillas for quite a long time now, the first ones I had I used a Krell KSA250 I bought these from the original owner who had owned them from the early 90's he had new ribbons in the Scintillas and the Krell recapped they sounded great, the Krell could power...

    Degritter ultrasonic record cleaner

Good news got the Audio Desk up and running again took around 2 hours and £30.00 to fix, just a bit cheaper than Audio desk quoted at £750 plus shipping both ways plus vat. It's a great cleaner but any company that makes a £2500.00 machine that cannot be dismantled for repair is really taking...
