Late to the party, the digital crowd may have been thankful. My sentiments are with the vinyl lovers. However, truth tells it, the CD is vastly superior! It's failing lies squarely on the shoulders of digital engineers. You see, I have proved the super microscopic and complex music signal's...
My system is not based on any engineers lower math. It is science based. Every component has been chosen for speed, short circuitry, and simplicity.
No speaker is faster at instant dynamic impulse than the Apogee Scintilla over 20 hz to 20 khz. 47 LAB Transport is leagues better than any...
Sorry, there is no cheap fix for great Audio Note sound, and, the fix has to with matching the DAC with the best transport. I have listened to a lot of transports. The only way to preserve the purity and dynamism of 2.1 t0 5.1 AN DACSs is to match them with audio philosophy sharing transports...
Frank, it does take a lot of work, but also scientific insight. I have spent 8 years with the same speakers, and amps. It was a long journey, but has ended at the peak of life-like music.
I will have to go back and read the whole thing again. From my reading the PS engineer was saying it took years to "decipher" the pits and lands into binary signals. Just look at the number of chips the transport runs the info through.
That is why I shied away from the Perfectwave. I spent the...
What's more, there is no audible distortion of any kind on my straight from the cd recording through an NOS DAC. It's all there, engineers should be looking to ways to mine all the information on the disc as 47 Lab did.
PS Audio are the ones who discovered the variable pit, and land. They had to convert that, the best they could to a 1' and 0's. As far as 6moons goes, I think it is the best review site. They sure got my amp and preamp right on the money.
Here is a look at a CD: http://www.denniskunkel.com/DK/Miscellaneous/97108C.html
I am sure it is coded, but not in the usual computer model. A quote from 6moons:
"While reading a CD, a raging stream of pits of variable lengths whirs past the laser reader whose response currents in the light...
I found an electron microscopic image of a CD and it contains various lengths of pits in line with various, "Land lengths." There seems to be no easily seen repetitions. They form infinitely variables. These pits and land lengths are far cleaner, and denser that that of a cut LP. Digital - not...
Did anyone mention the 6moons review of the PS Perfect Wave transport and DAC? PS engineers found that the surface of the CD is not neatly in 1's and 0's, instead it resembles the flow similar to what is on vinyl. They spent years trying to reinterpret the CD into neat digital. Yes, according to...
Frank, What I really meant, are the components are at fault as well as wires. Yes, and it is a delightful term, "Out of a hat." That would apply to my speaker cables. It is hard to get folks to try them. Then it might be just the perfect combo for the class D amp. Component's downfall are the...
