Regarding restarting the Extreme: What‘s the proper way to do it? I thought clicking the Front button once served something else? …my way was to just (re-)select the USB driver, which triggers a restart. But probably not the official way to do it, haha…
Emile, I‘m wondering about the noise that gets generated by DACs, amps or in this case the Extreme itself. Is that solely due to the Transformer (and then gone with the BPS)? I‘m asking because I learned from speaking to Shunyata that it‘s not only about blocking outside noise from coming into...
Not sure how, where and to what components these beauties will be attached, but I just love the fact that it will result in even more sonic marvels for all of us!
All I can say is I DO LIKE your new puppy avatar!
Happy Easter to you, Emile and the whole Taiko community! …is that XDMS peeping out of that eggshell?
I remember your post back then because I was also wondering why everybody was raving about Roon and discarding TAS. Yeah, Roon was now noticeably better so one could argue to use it again, but I never got how it was now kicking butt to TAS. Even Emile chimed in because he knew what was going on...
Go Emile Go! I just had the picture of the magnificent header by Robin van Persie against the Spanish Team in the 2014 World Cup come to mind. Where Robin did one in the game of 90 minutes (ok actually two), Emile is doing 20 in an hour!!
Thanks so much for the outstanding support!
I think it‘s more than fine for us users to be able to wait a week or two until all the eager early birds a fed with the upgrade. We are grown-ups … although we feel like right before unpacking those Christmas presents back when we were kids. :)
That balloon analogy is exactly the same that I had when telling my dealer about the uptick from switching my Shunyata Everest wall powercord from Sigma XC to Omega XC. Only there I had described to difference as „only“ a say 70-75% fully blown balloon before.
So I would assume that in both...
I use paper cups at some parts of my system to support my power cords to make the connectors align straight with the outlet. The great thing is you can use them standing up or sideways, squeeze them where needed or staple them if necessary. Also they are great to put some distance between cables...
Yeah, that reminds me of the David Wilson interview where he explains that the brain always catches the illusion between real vs reproduced, if the dynamic contrast of a system is noticeably lower than in live music. That‘s why I figure devices like the Extreme, fast speakers or power...
Hi Muni,
thank you so much for sharing! I‘ll definitely wanna give the CMS + Daiza a try and will report. It will take some time though, since I need some funds for the Taiko Network Card + Switch, upgraded XLRs and my DACs power cord first. I wanna make sure this way the fine tuning via the...
Hi Muni,
I see you are using the Daiza platform under both your Extreme and DAC and plan to do so for your amps as well - very similar to what I plan for my system. I also use a Daiza under my Extreme and found the improvement quite substantial to before where the Extreme was just on the lowest...
