Compared to the Ortofon Banana 12-inch this arm uses a spring to adjust the needle pressure and I think it sounds more transparent and extended in both ends. Alfred claims the black color reduces resonances better.

At last the EMT 997 Banana AB ( Alfred Bokrand ) black edition is mounted on the 927! Wow! Alfred has made it possible to swap between DaVa ( why ?? ) and ”normal” SME type cartridge. It sounds amazing. Great combo!

I think it is better that I respond to you @Walter66! It is the first track on the album called fragment, but it is not played from the start! Bonzo asked me if I had an exampke with drums and therefore the cut starts from the drumsolo after maybe 2 minutes! Sorry for that!

Today I have the 155st in the 927! It has been very criticised but I think it is good! I use this with my EMT/Ortofon OFD 25 Monocartridge/Ortofon original arm ( 927 f has 2 arms ). However I have 2 139 monos being updated and completed with PSU based on original EMT parts! Will come back when I...

To clarify I run the phono in MM and use the the silver/copper SUT from Darius. It is not yet run in but a major improvement together with his tube PSU!

The phono is not internal, it is a swedish development by Miros?aw Stasilowicz who owns Veteranhifi in Stockholm and is the best Audio distributor/developer in Sweden imho! It is a 4 tube phono with MM/MC ( Lundahl 1931 SUT ) called Simply Black phono!

To be accurate it is the NAT Symmetrical with the NAT Magnetostat tonecontrol! A huge improvment! The green lamp is the tube PSU from Darius! Also a huge improvement to the solid state one!

It is the first track on the album called Fragment! Performed by the swedish jazzelite Arne Domnerus ( cl ), Egil Johansen ( dr ), Georg Riedl ( b ), and Bengt Hallberg ( p ). You know some of them from Jazz at the Pawnshop but there are more excellent albums and they are all well recorded! Some...

This is the first video after I got the tube PSU and the silver/copper mixed SUT from Darius! Sounds great out of the box but needs up to 50 hours to fully break in! Its such a match with the EMT 927! Bonzo75 mentioned PRAT - thats what it is all about! I am in heaven!

First impression is overwhelming! And this is without having finetuned the VTA, azimuth, overhang….and Darius says I must play it in at least 20 hours! Impressive! Great soundstage, strong, deep base with good contour, open midrange, good on voices with extended highs! Overall extremely good...
