I actually find it REALLY annoying that there are two versions because I don't particularly want to buy the same songs twice on vinyl, only to find they are virtually the same. What's the verdict from those that have heard both? Which should I get?- Petrat

Two pairs: My Sonic Lab Eminent Solo mono and Hyper Eminent cartridges, plus Glanz MH-104S and MH-124S tonearms
Did the same a while ago ... agreed, that headshell is a better match for the Glanz than the supplied one.- Petrat

Good point! I sometimes wonder about forum threads where two people are disagreeing about the 'sound' of a product ... it's quite possible they are both correct! We customers rarely get the opportunity to hear multiple samples of the same product side by side, but sample variablity seems to be a...- Petrat

MEZE 99 CLASSIC HEADPHONES
Very happy with mine. For the money, if you need a closed back design for occasional use, these are very listenable and un-fatiguing. No problems with earpads or build quality. Mine are the gold ones and, unlike most closed back 'phones, I think these things look rather good even when just lying...- Petrat

Shindo Owners Past and Present - Cable Choices
Agreed. There's a risk of damaging the rca sockets on Shindo gear if you use some of the more extreme plugs. I had a secondhand Monbrison where a couple of the input sockets had their centre contacts trashed through being forced.- Petrat

I, too, use heavier aluminium arm-pods and have disabled the suspension, as footfall on my wooden floors was causing mis-tracking with some cartridges. -

A95 is a half-way house between SPU and 'normal' lomc carts. I used it as my daily runner for over a year.- Petrat

Ortofon optimised the suspension / dampers for the elliptical stylus, so gluing on a different stylus will change things ... maybe worse, maybe better ... I've had many SPUs, including the recent Anniversary editions, and the Synergy remains my favourite of the modern SPUs, so if it were me...- Petrat
