Axpona 2024 who is going and why?

I go because it is the biggest domestic show with.a mind blowing amount of equipment. Plus I go to see old friends whom I don’t live near.

    TIDAL - The hidden gems

Depends on the analog gear being used of course. Also the pressing of the record. But the MQA may in fact sound better if the analog system isn’t at the cutting edge.

    TIDAL - The hidden gems

Were these originally Philips catalog tapes? I have some of these on record and very well recorded. I am sure that the digital reissues would be excellent.

Some exhibitors with a good...

    Transfiguration Proteus

Lotus, Cartridge comparisons being next to impossible due to set up variables, arm and table differences, platforms, phono preamps, et al, the Proteus is the most detailed and musically satisfying cartridge I've heard in my system. I would have preferred that they did not drop output to 2mv but...

    Transfiguration Proteus

To all of you folks who have had reason or desire to move to the Proteus after living happily with the Orpheus, don't hesitate to do so. Having broken my Orpheus stylus last week I was confronted with buying a new cartridge or having my Orpheus Re-tipped by Soundsmith. There is so little known...
