Maybe, but really just wanting to understand a bit more of the architecture for the sake on knowledge and wether my orig question has any real merit etc.. . The TPlus looks to be a great piece of kit and just looking at some viable options.

@Golum + @bonzo75 - Not sure why that's why I was asking - I thought or was under the impression that some or most R2R don't do DSD natively? Some like Lampi, T&A have separate circuits (well the "chipless" versions) et al. Maybe certain R2R's handle it differently like Yggy vs TPlus. Again...

So is the T or TPlus not for someone with a lot of native DSD as well as a PCM > DSD via HQP type of user? It would seem the R2R architecture is really suited for redbook libraries? Coming from the Lampi world this would be a much different product - not better or worse, just different.

    Cable Modems

The gigafoil does seem interesting, but again I don't stream (by choice, use local lib, 2 server with Roon and HQP). I may look into it. I did have an ER, but I only noticed an improvement when using copper > I tested it with my fiber setup and then ran a 50' cat6 to my listening room as a...

    Cable Modems

Yep, all my network gear, NAS is in a rack in utility room (along with servers) and I run fiber from a manged switch to dedicated listening room. Gotta have UPS for network gear, NAS etc.. I know there are some UPS's that use modified sign wave v.s. pure sign wave. I'll probably try out the P3...

    Cable Modems

Gotcha. My modem and router spec out at about 2A each and the P3 says "Dual output provide 3A for each " so that tells me it should be plenty for 2 devices running at 2A - I could be wrong though. I don't stream (by choice, local library) and my network rack in utility room has a UPS the...

    Cable Modems

I'm not much of an EE, can you explain a bit more on this? I'm genuinely curious because I'm wanting to power at least 2 maybe 3 devices in my network rack.

Dedicated audio room build thread aka The Big Dig

Serioulsy an epic room and build. Even for the truly dedicated room builds, not many like this anywhere. How fun this must be, congrats. Cant wait to see how the rest of the journey goes.

    Cable Modems

Just to clarify - the SB8200 spec says 12v/2A (which the 2A refers "peak" if I'm not mistaken) so wouldn't the keces P3 be more than adequate? Also if one wanted to power 2 devices say a router and modem (both with 2A ratings or less) would the dual output P3 (12v/3A + 12V/3A) be a good choice...

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

The TRP line is interesting, but I'm somewhat confused in the direction of this engine and or Lampi in general. Lampi from early on seemed to be focused on the DSD signature and is what Lukasz favored and designed many of the products around. The use of HQP and upsampling PCM to DSD came to...

    LampizatOr Golden Atlantic + TRP

It seems like a lot is changing with Lampi. It used to be the big 7/GG "chipless" from a few years ago was "it"? Then the r2r with the auto/included DSD function came and by all accounts was great but still had mixed reaction - many still preferred the separate 512 DSD engine? Can anyone...

Amanero now supporting native DSD In Linux

Yeah I kind of figured that after the fact, oops :) I know the Lampi crowd (me included) using HQP/NAA will be happy to hear this. I asked the admin to append "Linux" to the description.

I should have stated in the title "DSD native with Linux"

Amanero now supporting native DSD In Linux

Not sure if this is old/new news or applicable, but I know I am wanting native DSD for use with HQP / Lampi http://www.amanero.com/drivers/nativeDSD.txt To enable/disable native DSD on Combo384 an USB Control request must be sent to endpoint 0. This procedure is supported on all firmware...
