Alsyvox vs. Clarisys - What are the Sonic Differences? Anyone Understand Design Differences?

You simply cannot be serious. I took some mega close ups. I will post them and explain what I meant.

Alsyvox vs. Clarisys - What are the Sonic Differences? Anyone Understand Design Differences?

I don't personally think the Auditorium's are even vaguely close to the Rafaello based on Munich 2023 show conditions. I wouldn't swap my souped up Duettas for the Auditorium. However, I would swap my Duettas for the Raffaello plus a lot of cash, though not enough to reach the asking price...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

I spent a very long time being really fond of the Sylvania VT-52 when I bought one of the first Big 7 DACs from Lampizator. With the internals of that DAC easily thrown away due to the use of a particularly shitty set of cheap toroids and an excellent re-build by some really good hardware...

Now that's cool. All labels face the viewer. How did you manage that? Especially given the differing manufacturers? Fluke? Or work?

    Does Everything Make a Difference?

No. But where is the constant?

I went for Path resistors in my Apogee crossovers a good few years ago now. The casings on all of them now look amazing (non-labelled area). Copper does that as it ages. Turns all sorts of great colours you don't usually see mixed together elsewhere. HMS Victory had a copper hull upgrade...

Hm. Always thought your hearing was a bit dodgy, Christoph;) EML AD1 is the best out of the EML or KR tubes I have tried. Including the KR 242. I prefer their PX25. I rarely use the EML AD1 because there are quite a few I prefer, really, with the benefit of hindsight. But when I go back to it...

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

Look up the heater and pin specs and buy a voltmeter to run across the two heater pins. Adaptors make it really easy to raise the tube to do this if your Lampi recesses the base. Generally running on the heater specs does seem to produce the best results, funnily enough. When you get into it...

FWIW approximate cost of the laser setup in fiat currency was around £3,200 about 2.5 years ago.

Thanks. The UST projector is a pure pleasure. No need for privacy on it. Whilst the picture in my shot does it no favours, I have it ultra dialed in now. Absolute to the millimetre precision is where it is at here. It's performing way better as the quality of the source i.e. the internet is...

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Love to see a number of lid off shots of the Poseidon. Why? Just to see the design and component quality used and ensure it remains stable over time. But mainly so that buyer's actually know with certainty what they are going to get if they go for it. Whilst cheap Chinese tubes can to some...

    Introducing the LampizatOr Poseidon DAC

Do I see 4 Chinese 6V6GT pentodes running as triodes or am I mistaken? Why not return back to basics if you want to give the benefit of your experience to younger people and sell the electronics to those that can build it with guidelines. That would just be fucking cool at your stage in life.

Lampizator Valve / Tube Rolling Review Thread

I have a pair bought from Jac Music which are as I got them new, really. I didn't really use them for many hours. Less than 50 I would say. If anyone wants them at $900 plus postage costs PM me. One caveat is they don't have the Lampi Anniv markings, just the standard EML ones, but they are...
